The Rubber Magpul Buttpad, 0.30" comes standard with the Magpul CTR® and MOE® Mil-Spec models as well as all STR®, ACS-L™, ACS™ and UBR® Magpul stocks and utilizes a firm rubber that is designed for enhanced shoulder purchase and improved impact/drop mitigation. May also be installed on Commercial-Spec MOE/CTR stocks, but may prohibit use of fully collapsed position. All mounting hardware included.

I purchased this to help mitigate recoil and get back on target faster. I have found it helps some, and I am able to get second shots faster. It adds little to no weight, but the waffle design flexes a bit during recoil and absorbs some of the recoil impulses. It also adds a little to the length of pull. I installed this on an adjustable stock, so it did not cause a problem with the length of pull. However, it may cause issues with a scope if the buttpad is installed after the scope.

Three reasons for this. Quality, enhanced recoil management, aesthetics. I have one installed on my CTR stock, and it is a very good pad in conjunction with a well thought out buffer and spring system. These components come together to flatten out your firing cycle, and aren't that what we are looking for. An added bonus is the aggressive profile and finishing touch to the stock end of your rifle, pistol, or SBR. I never have any doubts about Magpul gear. It always seems to be purpose-driven and very well designed. Is this absolutely necessary? No, but does it enhance your shooting experience? Definitely.

This was the best option for the saiga 12 until limb saver came out with a fantastic pad for the ctr. The limb saver is very soft and will absorb many drums full of energy. I would recommend this if you need more LOP, but if you're after recoil suppression, go with the limbsaver.
