The Magpul BEV Block seats in any standard vise and provides support for both billet and forged upper receivers. Ive done lots of builds in just about every caliber & application the ar platform has to offer & i must say i love the bev block its a well thought out design & works great way more effectively than the clamshell & is much more useful in a number of ways a much easier & more effective way to torque barrels put on handguards or mounting optics i highly recommend this item👍🏻👍🏻

Great ar 15 vise block as it can be used to build both upper and lower receivers in one tool. Also works very well for cleaning your guns. I leave mine in the vise for when I come in from shooting, I just set it right on there and start cleaning. The only down side is you need an "empty" carrier to slide onto the other end of the tool when using it for uppers. If you have a spare laying around its not a problem unless you like stripping your carrier. Other than that great product and a must have tool!

I needed a lower fixture and finally decided to pull the trigger on this one. Had read the reviews, and I liked this setup the best. As soon as it arrived, I got both out for the trial fit. Dropped in just like it was made for it. Fit and finish are flawless, could'nt get any better. Waiting on a couple more parts and we'll see how she works. Glad I decided to take the chance, quality AR vise block.

I like the intended purpose and utility of the magpul ar vise block! Lots of capability and "beef" to do the jobs. Mine came with the splines rough and oversize. It wouldn't fit into the barrel. A few licks with a fine file, and using the stripped bolt carrier as a driver, I was able to get it fully seated. Should be much easier for next time! Having it come able to seat out of the box would make it a 5 star. Took a long breakover bar to get the barrel nut loose. But did so ok. Installing the new floated foreend was easy, too. It was great to have all solidly clamped in my vise. Magpul makes the best AR accessories

I just received the BEV block and used it to install a Lantac dragon on my Colt carbine. Worked like any other Magpul product, which is fantastic. Wish I'd bought it sooner.

I can't believe that I fought with the clamshell type for so long. This tool fits any different upper that I have tried so far and does not torque the upper. I almost destroyed a billet upper that didn't fit the clamshells right; the BEV works perfectly.

When using a Geissele reaction rod to tighten a barrel nut, the only thing preventing the upper receiver from rotating due to frictional torque is the barrel indexing pin riding in it's slot in the upper receiver. The barrel index pin and slot are not designed / intended to bear any rotational torque whatsoever. The BEV block addresses this by interfacing with the barrel extension lugs and the upper receiver by cradling the forward takedown pin lug in a slot in the BEV block itself. Thus, the barrel and the upper receiver are both individually prevented from rotating. BEV block wins.

So far, I like the Magpul Bev block a lot better than a standard AR15 vise block and magwell block. The notch that fits up with the magazine release is very handy for working on a lower. When the instructions are followed, it holds the upper very securely, with any load being applied to the barrel, not the weaker aluminum upper. For clarification, the barrel insert and the backside that receives the bolt are made of steel that carries through the bottom of the block. A very strong product and not much more money than a standard lower/upper vise set.

The magpul ar-15 bev block provides a solid lockup on the upper receiver! Makes installing upper components a breeze! I used it to put on a new BCM KMR, and it made removing the gas block and previous handguard much easier. I would highly recommend this product!

This ar-15 vise block made my job so easy when I changed my Colt 6920 to a keymod free-float. I didn't have to worry about warping my upper or any other damage. Plan on building another complete upper for long-range shooting using this tool. Half the cost of the Geissele Reaction Rod.

This Magpul Bev block positively holds all the parts in place while torquing a barrel nut. It engages the barrel extension lugs like a reaction rod and allows easier removal (compared to a receiver 'shell' style block) of the upper receiver to check gas tube alignment. My BC sheared the O-ring, but spares are included in a spare parts bag.

Used the Magpul Bev block to install a replace the barrel on my AR. Worked great, no issues. Sturdy solid metal core over-molded in plastic for a no scratching problems. It's one of the Ar Accessories you should have.
