I have utilized three of these trigger guards for my AR builds. The installation on one end involves a roll pin, which is effortlessly driven in with a 1/18 punch. An Allen wrench is used to secure the other end with a plastic screw. While the first screw was installed without any issues, the last two screws had their centers stripped where the Allen screw inserts, causing them to protrude. Now, I am unable to remove or fully tighten these screws. It would be preferable if Magpul provided steel screws instead of plastic ones. Due to this experience, I would recommend considering alternative aftermarket trigger guards for your AR builds.

The Flat Dark Earth (FDE) color of this trigger guard is impressive, and it fits seamlessly onto a mil-spec aluminum lower. The inclusion of Allen set screws is a smart design choice, as it eliminates the need to reinsert roll pins. However, you may need to initiate the threads into the polymer holes of the guard for proper installation. One potential issue is that some guard holes might be too shallow, causing a screw to protrude slightly from the lower's mount. Overall, the trigger guard offers an attractive color and convenient installation for your AR-15.

The appearance of this trigger guard is satisfactory, but you may need to widen the holes slightly to ensure the screws fit properly. Installation could be more straightforward if it featured a spring-loaded pin at the front and a roll pin at the rear. Additionally, some holes might not be deep enough, and there could be excess debris from the molding process. Despite these minor issues, the trigger guard remains a viable option for enhancing your AR-15.
