Magpul Grip Core for AA/AAA Battery
The MIAD Interior central unit and the AK Grips for MOE, MOE+, MOE-K2 as well as MOE are designed to hold two AA batteries in a water-proof unit which is self-contained.
The internal spacer offers storage which is devoid of rattle, of either batteries of (2) N or (2) AAA, mostly utilized for EOTech sights. There are two sections to the rubber cap, with marks to recognize ‘used’ batteries. The press of a thumb can open them.

Battery backup solution
Used with Magpul grip, can't think of a better way to ensure you have the power you need. Today's optics are very efficient but when you're in the field it's nice to know you have power at hand.
Neat Idea
The magpul grip insert comes with insert for AAA batteries or use for AA batteries without the insert. Has a water proof plug to keep batteries dry and clean, and there is no rattle. Fits nicely into the grip and at the awesome extra weight of less than 2 ounces you have a spare set of batteries for weapon accessories.
Works like a charm
This magpul grip core is an ideal solution for carrying extra AA batteries for my EOTech sight. Batteries rattle around in the buttstock, but this insert holds them securely in the hand grip. When inserted in the grip, it locks in positively, and it's easy to undo the clip and extract it (with bare hands - if I'm shooting with gloves, I have to take them off to unclip it, but that's probably more due to the glove design - I only use gloves when it's cold, so my shooting gloves are pretty thick). Great solution, out of the way, keeps batteries secure and silent. What more could you want?
