Best rings I've owned to date.

These Vortex PMR rings BELONG on a Vortex; there's no doubt. These went on a 30mm PST, and they couldn't fit more perfectly. The Picatinny brace is SOLID. The star key style screws changed my mind, and now blow Allen wrenches and hex keys outta the water. They do not feel like they're going to strip EVER. Perfect finish holds paint VERY well, tight positive fit to the scope and themselves, and overall worth every single cent I paid for 'em :D

Work great on 700 308 20' with chassis system. I tried to keep my weight down. 700 aac-sd, MDT LSS chassis, Ace folding stock, TPS aluminum Picatinny and Vortex Viper HS LR 2.5-10x32 FFP. Great long-range shooter at less than 10 pounds.

    Good rings for the price

I bought these optic rings to mount a PFi 300AAC optic on my Remington 700 300AAC. I do not plan to be shooting long distances with this rifle as I expect most of my shooting to be suppressed subsonic. I bought the low rings to reduce the profile and height of the weapon for use with hunting. The rings hold the optic very low. If the optic had an objective lens larger than 30mm, it might not fit without a riser. With the optic zoomed to its lowest setting (1.25x), my 7inch suppressor fills at least the bottom 1/3 of the optic. Had I purchased the mid-height scope rings, there wouldn't be much of an issue, I think. The scope rings are relatively light and were received with a good fit and finish. Using a good torque wrench, I followed the included instructions and set the optic and rings up in very little time. Leveling the optic reticle was something of a pain, but that usually is, in my opinion. The mating between the bottom of the rings could have been a little better with my Picatinny rail. I can't ding the rings since I haven't measured the exact width of my rail. Once it was properly torqued, the slight feel of rocking/unleveled between the ring and rail went away. I would recommend these rings for someone wanting a decent set of rings for short to mid-range shooting. If I was mounting the optic on a precision rifle, I'd buy precision rings.

    Great rings, excellent alignment

I've now bought Vortex PMR rings twice, first for a 35mm Razor HD and second for a 30mm Nightforce NXS 8-32/56. I bought them a second time because, on the first install, I lapped the rings and found them so perfectly matched there were virtually no high and low spots - even removal of the painted surface and could have probably skipped the lapping procedure. On the second, I also lapped just because I made a serious investment in a great scope and didn't want to take the chance of having a problem. But I found the same results—perfect alignment and even removal of surface paint and probably didn't need to lap. Great rings!

Incredibly well-constructed, flawless fit on a Picatinny rail fits 30mm scope like a glove. Has robust Torx screws. Recommend a torque wrench for installation. Performs as claimed. Classy look on my rifle.

I purchased these rings to mount a Vortex Viper HST 6-24x50 onto my Remington 700 PCR 6.5 Creedmoor. I've always used Leupold rings, and I wanted to try this ring. I wish I would have tried these before. They are heavy duty, and I haven't had an issue with them coming loose. A friend of mine even got a set once he has seen mine.

These are some of the best rings out of the box I have ever seen; they required minimal lapping to be perfect, and that probably was not the rings fault. Super strong and plenty of surface area to keep your scope in place on high recoil producing rifles.

    Right tool for the job!

I bought a pair of the Vortex Precision Matched rings and mounted my scope in place on my Howa 1500. Shooting was excellent, rings held in place great. I later decided to get a muzzle brake for my rifle and made the mistake of leaving the scope and rings on when I handed the rifle over for the barrel to be threaded. I get the call a couple of weeks later and go get my rifle only to find the shop had a) over torqued (58 in/lbs) my rings and b) mismatched the top halves - which were marked by marker on one side to avoid this very thing. So I checked the scope; no damage. The PM rings, despite being over torqued and Vortex being willing to exchange them, are fine. Excellent product!

These rings are perfect for any build you're doing except AR platforms. Never put scope rings on an ar. It’s like putting whitewall street tires on a 4x4 truck. These rings are made and kept as a matching set through the production process giving the customer a perfect set of rings.
