Streamlight stinger led hpl is Perfection
Perfection is what this stinger hpl light is! This is my second one and the first one I had for five years and was working like new till I lost it this thing is bright with this light I've never had to invest in a spotlight for longer range cause this light has done it all and its durable I've dropped my last one from the top of a tractor and didn't do anything to it if you buy this light it'll be worth every dime, and you will have trouble finding another like it
The Streamlight stinger hpl is by far the best flashlight I have ever owned. It is expensive but completely worth it in my view — excellent build, lightweight, and easy to use. I bought the Stinger 9 months ago, and have used it regularly since then. I live in a rural area, with lots of opportunities to use a flashlight at night. This light works so well it can be used as a spotlight, with a bright solid white beam at up to 75 yards or more. And it throws off some peripheral light, as well, so you get a broad field of vision. Battery life is good -- about an hour of continuous use. It recharges overnight with the standard charger base, and there is a rapid charger option available. No complaints at all.
Poor Business Model
I was a Police Explorer/Cadet when I was 15. A flashlight was all you got, it mattered. After slogging around with a power-pole-aspiring Mag-Lite (which was a nightstick/that might light up a small room/if you remembered to replace the batteries), I graduated to Police Officer and got way better tools. I bought, what must have been the original, Streamlight SL20 and never even considered replacing her. Somewhere during one of my international moves, she was taken from me. I went back online to buy a new one and discovered, spoiler alert, that technology evolves quickly, even in the flashlight/torch business? Considering this, I researched what all the cops are using today and bought a streamlight stinger hpl
Streamlight stinger hpl is Wow!
I am not a flashlight techie like a lot of reviewers. I live in a rural area, and the flashlight is invaluable for marauding Varmits and other unwanted visitors while walking or working at night, specifically Rattlesnakes in the season. Having been a former law enforcement officer, I knew the value of the flashlight in that kind of work. I relied heavily on their written opinions here before deciding to purchase. I'm happy I did. I was so surprised upon using this Streamlight stinger hpl light for the first time. I read about others claiming more lumens, etc., but was most swayed by the LE guys using it daily. Well, they were right, the light output is astounding, it is well focused with just enough periphery light around the main beam to make orientation and to track easy. The recharging, both ac, and dc are excellent and well thought out. No battery changes or removal for recharging...... slide it into the charger receiver by aligning the charging posts, and it will snap into place with the recharging light confirming proper contact. The Streamlight stinger hpl light controls with a very traditional push-button switch that was well thought out and easy to operate. The light is smaller and lighter than an old-style c cell Kelite and is easily carried in a front or rear pocket. The non-slip rubber body grip is also a great feature. Quite honestly, if this light holds up as well as it initially functions, it will well earn the five stars I gave it...only time and use will tell. I thought spending this much on a flashlight was crazy but can say to you now. I was wrong. It is worth every penny, and I highly recommend it.
Love love love the Streamlight Stinger HPL flashlight
I fricken love this Streamlight Stinger HPL flashlight. I've owned and carried one or the last six years and love it. I'm only buying this one to replace one I left on the airplane in a hurry to get off. It never fails, it will spotlight a hanger on the other side of the airport, and if you look into it, you'll have the perfect excuse not to fly that leg! It sounds like a win in my book. Batteries last forever, as well. Over six years and still going strong.
Streamlight designs its flashlight in such a way that it is customized to a particular profession or purpose. Hunters love the Streamlight Stinger series in a compact package for their super-bright results, yet are also rechargeable and almost indestructible. Law enforcement and the shooting community love the Streamlight TLR Series bright light, toughness, and long-lasting quality. Based on the success of the Streamlight TLR-1 light, they have made several newer versions like the Streamlight TLR-2 weapon light with Laser. Now, Streamlight has produced the TLR-3, TLR-4, TLR-6, TLR-7 and TLR-8 tactical flashlights. The Streamlight stylus pro has been designed for those who need a bright LED light in difficulty reaching nooks and crannies, such as the engine interiors that mechanics need to see or the different angles of a crime scene that forensic specialists need to inspect. Whatever the specifications, Streamlight aims to provide you with the best lighting solution possible. The bottom line is this - if you want a flashlight that is there for you every shift, holds a charge all night and puts out plenty of light in police or tactical situations, you can't go wrong with a Streamlight brand light.
