I use this light on my bedside firearm. The light is just the right size and is very bright. The controls are well thought out and easy to use. The strobe feature is excellent and very effective. I find no negative features with this light and recommend it to anyone needing a compact pistol light.

The TLR7a is a perfect mini carry light

I install the Streamlight on my carry sig 365 XL . I liked the fact you had different options for mounting depending on the rail. It is also easy to switch between high or low paddle control. The amount of light it puts is just about right. I have no negatives on the mini streamlight.

I have this set up on my concealed carry off-duty gun, and I love it. The amount of light is more than sufficient for indoor or outdoor use. The control improvements make this one of the nicest lights I've ever ever carried, from a list of other Streamlight products all the way to some of the surefire offerings. This is a lot of light for the money, and Streamlight on any platform has never failed me in 13 years of duty use.

I installed it on a Glock 45. It's flush with the barrel. It puts off a blinding light. Controls are easy to reach.

    Buy this over the TLR7

The TLR7A is an improvement over the TLR7. It comes with both switches, high and low, which addresses most complaints about activating the light. Small profile, meaning it is not fatter than the frame/ slide and is roughly in line with the barrel. I do wish it had a quick release/ attachment so I could take off quickly. This unit is held on by a screw and does not detach/attach quickly. Still five stars tho. This went on a G19 gen5 MOS, paired up with a tenicor holster.

    The 7A is an improvement

The 7A with the side paddle switches is a definite improvement over the original seven models with the pushbuttons. I swapped the paddles (easy) to low on the trigger finger side and high on the support thumb side.

This light is small, bright, and (compared to the TLR-7) I can actually reach the switch without changing my grip.

Much better than the previous version

It comes with multiple adapters to fit just about every gun with a rail. The LED is a cool white(white) vs. the older version, which was a warmer white(yellow) and appears much clearer and brighter. The buttons are much more ergonomic to use and have two options, high and low. The buttons have a very positive click and are easy to manipulate. I would definitely recommend this for any compact and subcompact firearm.

    Streamlight Flashlight

    Streamlight TLR

Streamlight designs its flashlight in such a way that it is customized to a particular profession or purpose. Hunters love the Streamlight Stinger Flashlight series in a compact package for their super-bright results, yet are also rechargeable and almost indestructible. Law enforcement and the shooting community love the Streamlight TLR Series bright light, toughness, and long-lasting quality. Based on the success of the Streamlight TLR-1 light, they have made several newer versions like the Streamlight TLR-2 weapon light with Laser. Now, Streamlight has produced the TLR-3, TLR-4, TLR-6, TLR-7 and TLR-8 tactical flashlights. The Streamlight stylus pro has been designed for those who need a bright LED light in difficulty reaching nooks and crannies, such as the engine interiors that mechanics need to see or the different angles of a crime scene that forensic specialists need to inspect. Whatever the specifications, Streamlight aims to provide you with the best lighting solution possible. The bottom line is this - if you want a flashlight that is there for you every shift, holds a charge all night and puts out plenty of light in police or tactical situations, you can't go wrong with a Streamlight brand light.
