Customer Ratings & Reviews
This is the best 'bang for your buck' firearm light that you can ...
This firearm light offers the best "bang for your buck" and is well-known enough in the industry that you can purchase holsters specifically designed to fit it. I have been using two of these lights, with one of them being over 2 years old and still going strong on its original batteries. I shoot at a dimly lit indoor range, and this light is great for illuminating an area out to at least 25 meters (yards). It mounts solidly to all of my pistols and rifle/shotgun rails and is easy to remove with a large flathead or even a quarter. Despite frequent mounting and dismounting, this light holds securely even when hand-tight mounted to a Remington 870 using full 3" heavy loads. The threads have never back-threaded, even after a full day of pistol shooting (1200+ rounds).
Streamlight is it for me!
The Streamlight's customer service left a great impression on me. If you're looking for a gear review from someone who really puts it through its paces, look no further. During an urban combat course, I took a hard fall while climbing an obstacle, and the majority of the impact was absorbed by my TLR-1. The light fell between my body and the concrete, and the face cover was crushed. Despite this, the light still worked, and I was able to complete the course with it. What impressed me the most was the fact that the accident was entirely my fault, but when I informed a Streamlight representative of what had happened and offered to purchase a new face for my light, they sent me one free of charge. The representative stated that they wanted to ensure their products always worked, and this level of service blew me away. Three days later, I received the part and my light was as good as new. I was so impressed with the service that I bought a few more lights for my course and duty pistols. The light itself is bright enough to get the job done, and the switches allow you to manipulate the light by "sweeping" your trigger finger up or down. One direction is a constant-on, while the other is a "hold to activate" mode that lets you quickly flash an area and go dark again by releasing your finger. This is ideal for gaining an advantage without revealing your position too much. The constant-on selection stays put and keeps the light activated during rapid-fire, drops, and day-to-day drills. The light is rugged and can handle strenuous work. My first TLR-1 has held up for well over 10,000 rounds without any issues. A quick few turns allow you to detach the light, so you can mount it on just about anything. The illumination and field of view within the beam's parameters are outstanding, and the outside portion of your natural point of aim also stays brighter, giving you a good view of possible targets in the corners, away from the light. I highly recommend that you invest in a couple of sets of rechargeable batteries and a charger to save money in the long run. This light is truly impressive, and as someone who works on the range and shoots four times a week, I can confidently recommend it.

The tlr-1 streamlight is very well made
The tlr-1 streamlight is very well made piece of equipment. I already have one on my AR15 and am getting a second for my Rem 870, so I won't need to swap them — the wonderful amount of light where and when you need it. I live 12 miles from the nearest streetlight, where the term "pitch black at night" rules. Until you turn this light on, that is. It's as close to focused sunlight as you're going to get in the middle of the night. While it'll shine for hundreds of feet, it's the stuff in the 50-100 foot range that's "unmissable."
The Streamlight 69110 is better than the M3 I ..
. The Streamlight 69110 is better than the M3 I already have and like, more battery life, more adaptable, more durable, no bulb to replace, good spotlighting, M3 is slightly better on fringe only.
I use this Streamlight tlr1 light
I use this Streamlight tlr1 light on my bedside gun(Ar-15 mid-length). Mounted at a 10 to 11 o'clock position on the front handguard, it feels very natural, and there is no need for a pressure switch. This light is very sturdy, lightweight, and bright.
Wow. I didn't think LED's could be so bright.
Wow. I didn't think LED's could be so bright. This Streamlight tlr-1 has just one, really bright, LED. With the reflector in place it's as bright as my Streamlight TL-3 with a blue light vs. a yellow hue.
The Streamlight tlr-1 fits nicely on my Glock 21
The Streamlight tlr-1 fits nicely on my Glock 21 and snaps onto a Picatinny rail on my AR-15 without an adapter or changing anything. I have fired a few hundred rounds of .45 with the light mounted, including a 50 round box of HOT Federal HST +P. The light is not as quick to mount/dismount as some lights, but if you tighten the screw with a coin, it will be on there for the long haul. With the screw finger tight, the light got loose after a box or two of ammo but did not fall off. I have not tried driving nails with it, or anything crazy like that, but it seems like powerful light. The LED is similar in brightness to my incandescent Surefire E2E, but the bright white TLR spot makes the Surefire spot look yellow in comparison.

Based on the success of the Streamlight TLR-1 light, they have made several newer versions like the Streamlight TLR-2 weapon light with Laser. Now, Streamlight has produced the TLR-3, TLR-4, TLR-6, TLR-7 and TLR-8 tactical flashlights. The Streamlight stylus pro has been designed for those who need a bright LED light in difficulty reaching nooks and crannies, such as the engine interiors that mechanics need to see or the different angles of a crime scene that forensic specialists need to inspect. Whatever the specifications, Streamlight aims to provide you with the best lighting solution possible. The bottom line is this - if you want a flashlight that is there for you every shift, holds a charge all night and puts out plenty of light in police or tactical situations, you can't go wrong with a Streamlight brand light.
