Extremely bright. When I say "extremely", that is no exaggeration. Batteries last a good while also, simple AA. Durable! I have dropped quite a few times on fire and EMS scenes and still going strong. My fire and EMS buddies ask for my light on scene all the time instead of using theirs.

This streamlight 2aa is AWESOME. For the most part, I use the low power setting, which is great for working around camp or doing anything that doesn't require me to see in the far distance. The strobe is novel but of limited use to me - mostly to make my kids think it's cool. But the high beam is amazing for a light powered by 2 AA batteries. It will cast a beam several hundred feet, no problem. Using mostly the low setting seems to conserve batteries too. I use it a little about every day and I'm still on my first set of batteries after a month. Nice build quality too. Nice job Streamlight.

Excellent quality, very durable, and packed with features. Champagne on a beer budget. The first flashlight I bought at this lumen output cost me $200. That's not a typo, two hundred dollars. A pelican light that is much bigger and lacks a strobe or a carry clip. I've used this light as my everyday carry for over a year. I love that it is always with me and runs on cheap, readily available AA batteries. I don't baby my equipment. This light shrugs drops that would blow out surefire incandescent bulbs. Highly recommended. Don't just buy 1 get 2 because you'll love this light.

Everyday carry light, surprised how much I use it now that it is part of my gear. So impressed, I gave one as a gift to my mechanic. Buying goodwill, I suppose. Double A batteries available almost everywhere, and I try to purchase devices which have that battery in common. If you notice one brand of battery which lends itself to rattle inside the housing, just wrap the battery body with tape to snug it up. Doesn't take much. Really like this light.

The strobe is blinding! I really like this light. I took another person's advice and bought two, glad I did. I keep one in my truck and the other inside the house. Right before a big storm last month I was using this light while cleaning out the gutters on my roof one night. After a few days of heavy rains, I went out front and found this light on the window sill, where it was fully exposed to the storm. Although the batteries were dead from being on so long, the light was totally dry inside and worked perfectly with new batteries.

I use it as an everyday clip in my pocket, tactical defense tool; it's a multifunctional advantage-I've never had to use it for CQB in a defensive mode. But this little light puts the hurting on your peepers, believe me after my wife tried it on me; while training for a parking lot scenario. With our other three teenage daughters too. Myself playing as the aggressor, was seriously blinded by it's brightness; the hi/lo strobe was easy to adapt to. And all knew it's best to flee the scene if safety is within distance. So after my first one my wife decided she's gonna take it, of course I gladly obliged; happily knowing she would use it as trained if need be. The last one I bought was for my daughter, for her trip to a nearby U.S.M.C. base. All in all buy this light for someone you love, it could save their live's; it's priced right too.....and simple AA's!! C'mon!

I carry this light everywhere I go. It is small in diameter and is light in weight and also projects a powerful light beam. The flashlight can be made a little lighter by using Energizer Lithium Ultimate (AA) batteries. These batteries will provide exceptional longevity. I have other Streamlight, Inforce and Surefire LED flashlights, but I constantly carry the Streamlight ProTac 2AA 24/7. The others are used in more specific situations.

I already had a 2AAA which is fantastic. I got the 2AA to put on my vest for work. It is the same only even brighter. Streamlight makes an incredibly tough and reliable product.

The Streamlight ProTac 2AA flashlight is very reliable and ideal for camping trips as it is powerful in its high and offers a dimmer setting also. As an extra, one can change the flashlight to strobe mode. There is also a clip on the flashlight with which you can attach it to your pocket, or you can use the case it comes with which velcros easily to your belt. Finally, this particular flashlight uses AA batteries, which make them easy to replace.
