Vortex strikefire Flip up lens covers

    5 out of 5

    Date: July 8, 2021

Great Red Dot Sight, had it sighted in minutes, functions well, and holds zero flawlessly. One thing people complain about is about the lens covers, that's simply wrong, mine are easy on and easy off, you push in the center of the cover and shazam they are on with barely any pressure, and they don't flip open, and the slightest bump like many cheap ones do. Overall very solidly built great for the price, I would highly recommend it.....also lifetime warranty is a huge bonus.

For the money, you can't beat the quality here. It works, it's accurate, they have a great warranty, and it's an American Company. If you're not using your weapon for daily use, or even if you are... it's still a great buy!

    New to using red dots

I'm new to the AR platform and red dots. Bought this Vortex based on reviews. I took it to the range yesterday, and it performed great. I was shooting in the 30 to 40-yard range just to get a feel for it. I made a slight adjustment, and it was right on target.

    Great Sight for Tactical Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun

    5 out of 5
    Location:
    Date: April 23, 2021

This red/green dot sight is ideal for tactical applications of AR pistols/carbines out to 100 yards and shotguns out to 50 yards. The company comes with an angled Picatinny mount at a perfect height for aiming both this sight and backup Magpul pop-up front and rear sights. The sight comes with integrated, pop-up scope covers and provides both red or green dot selection and brightness control. Another excellent detail is the built-in elevation/windage adjustment tool built into the knobs. As a retired engineer, I appreciate this well-designed and built scope from Vortex at an affordable price.

    Buh bye Aimpoint

    Location:

Look, I already own an Aimpoint PRO on a LMT AR15, but at almost $500, I just cannot justify it... Don't get me wrong, I love my Aimpoint, and give it a 9/10, but I give this Vortex 8.5-9/10... too close to call... Yes, if money is no object, by all means, get the Aimpoint... but if you work for a living... save $320 and get the Vortex!

    Superb sight, one minor flaw

    4 out of 5
    Location:
    Date: April 23, 2021

I love this sight--it is bright but with a wide range of adjustability. Extremely rugged and less than half the price of anything I have seen that is comparable. It holds zero perfectly, and battery life is exceptional. The one tiny flaw is the flip-up lens covers. They are an absolute pain to snap down. If it is really cold, forget about it. I do not understand why something that is otherwise so beautifully engineered cannot feature something as simple as a flip-up cover that works easily and reliably.

Vortex StrikeFire II Red Dot Sight

Mounted sight on a AR 15 rifle, got it zeroed in six shots. I like everything about the sight EXCEPT the lens cover, which flies off after two or three shots. Perhaps a drop of super glue will fix this minor inconvenience.

While Hunting is the Georgia Brush, I had Zero'd in @ 100 Yards, and after 25 Shots at varying distances with 405 Gr Hand loads, I was ready to Hunt. First Encounter with a Hog at over 100 Yards Holding at Hair and NO Air, I took the First Hog, and the Scope has remained a Performer Ever Since! Great Product, and I am Pleased!

    Nice Red dot Sight

    Location:

After 500 rounds, the sight has held zero and worked every time. I tested the auto off feature, and that worked as advertised. My daughter, son-in-law, hunting partner, and his wife have all shot the Windham Arms AR. It is on easily and accurately.

Vortex Strikefire 2 for Sale Here

    5 out of 5
    Location:
    Date: February 22, 2021

I have had ARs for many years, but I am old school in many ways, including my old bespeceled eyes. I have always scoped my rifles to help me see the target clearer and never thought a red dot was something I would like. Boy, was I wrong. I only received this late yesterday, so I mounted it on an RRA 5.56 that had been in the safe awhile and had no sights. I took it out today to sight in. First shot at 50 yards, I was on the black on an 8" target, and in 6-7 shots, I had the sight zeroed in. I really like being able to shoot with both eyes open, it feels very natural, and the dot is very sharp and worked perfectly in bright sunlight dimmed about halfway down. Super easy to acquire the target. Very well built and with a very nice mount included. I never write reviews, but the Vortex StrikeFire was impressive enough to sit down and write one; if you can't tell, I am very happy with the Vortex StrikeFire 2 and will probably add more to my collection.

    My Vortex Strikefire 2 review

I caught this on sale and bought two of them. The glass is clear, and I like the red/green option. I have read where people have mounted a dot scope, and it already is zeroed out of the box. I was always skeptical. I put one on a .300 Blackout pistol. I took it to the range and fired a round at 15 yards to see if the dot was even on paper. It was at the bottom of my target dot. I backed up to 25 yards (my desired range for this pistol) and put three rounds dead center on a 2 inch target dot. I was genuinely amazed. My wife and I backed up to 50 yards and still had centered hits on a steel target, definitely worth the money.
