great fit
Feels comfortable in my hand. Mag release thumb cut-out perfect. A little thinner than original grip panels. Not enough to hinder my grip on 1911 .22LR.
Very functional
I have short fingers, and the left-hand side panel has a thumb recess to drop the magazine. The Magpul moe 1911 grips make it so much easier to reach, and I don't have to break my grip as much to do it. I also like the texture. I have a checkered front strap and spring cover, and the texture on these complete the feel. I can really get a good grip.
Great Grips!
I previously had the Magpul 1911 grips with a more-aggressive texture. I ended up sanding down the surface because they were too much (probably good with gloves). Ugly, but it worked. These are perfect, and a bargain compared to the more-exotic wood and other materials. Not fancy, but these black grips look good on a stainless pistol.
Magpul is synonymous with excellence!
Grips were purchased for an all-around 1911 that is used for carry, range, and intense training. The Magpul grips fit perfectly and the scoop for driving the thumb to the mag release is an excellent touch. These will clean mud, blood, and dirt easily, and are built to last. With other manufacturer's grips running north of $70, it's hard to ignore these. Also, they are practically weightless, which is wonderful for a carry gun. Lastly, for the G10 lovers, there is a very grippy texture executed with the little Magpul logos. No need for stippling, but it's nice to know that the option is there should you wish to.
Another quality Magpul product
Lightweight, durable grips with an interesting triangular profile and very good grippy texture. The thumb relief for the magazine catch is something that now that I have experienced it, I couldn't go back to standard 1911 panels. It really does help make magazine changes quicker and with no need to alter the position of the firing hand, and is especially useful for those with shorter thumbs. The Magpul 1911 grips fit perfectly, are a good value, and are the same quality that Magpul is known for.
Really Nice 1911 grips. Great Value.
I was pleasantly surprised! Very nice 1911 grips, the texture is just right, and they are excellent quality. I put them on my Kimber Pro CDP II, and they fit perfectly. Outstanding value.
