This is the one for me
I use a Streamlight protac aaa penlight flashlight every hour of every day at work. I've tried many of them, both more and less expensive than the Pro Tac, but this is the one I've settled on. It a perfect balance of size and brightness and looks pretty durable so far. I recently thought I lost mine after having had it for about a year now so I ordered another to replace it, only to have the Mrs find my first in the washer after doing a load of clothes, and it still works good as new. Now I have two, and I can't tell them apart. Luv em!
Nice little flashlight
I needed something that took triple-A batteries to have in my flight bag, my first penlight, and I haven’t used it much, so my experience is limited. I’ve had other Streamlight's and their quality is great; I was torn between this one and the rechargeable model; I figured since my flight computer takes triple A batteries that this would be fine, and I should carry spares anyway. I might get rechargeable batteries for them one of these days; I have an Apple phone and iPad anyway, so I didn’t want a special USB charger just for my flashlight. if it had worked with an Apple charger, I probably would have bought it
Best light for the price
Outstanding performance from a light this size. Some are brighter, but none combine size and durability at a price like this. I have tried many different lights, including the AA version of this, but the AAA version is better due to the size and weight.
It's way to cheap not to have one!
I never knew how much I could use a flashlight daily until I started carrying this one. It is the perfect size to where you forget you even have it—plenty of power and good battery life. I just wish it was painted hi-viz so you can find it better if you drop it. Nothing a little rattle can blaze orange can't fix, though! This light is highly cost effective too. Best EDC for the money and make a unique gift item for a guy.
Excellent EDC Light
Excellent light, very bright. Three modes: Bright, strobe, and low. Very lightweight, you forget it is in your pocket. Very well constructed. I cannot comment on burn time, but with AAA rather than lithium batteries, you get what you get. The pocket clip is durable and wears well—excellent light for everyday activities or when working on a vehicle. The long tubular design allows a variety of holding positions. Do not expect a blindingly brilliant light; it's a pocket flashlight, but plenty of light to work by or find missing items. All in all, an excellent little light. Do
Streamlight make a Great light!
Perfect light for when I'm on the job and need something compact. Whether I'm at work in a dark space or looking in my engine compartment, this light does the job. The use of the strobe feature and high/low light features is convenient for specific situations. Worth every penny!
The best flashlight that you can always have with you.
This is a very well-made flashlight and extremely bright for its size. I carry it daily on the job(construction work) in my shirt or pants pocket, which makes it very convenient when needed. This light works well too, and from and in my hunting blind, which is where the low-level beam comes in handy. The strobe setting I know from training will be helpful in a personal protection situation. When I first got this, the switch seemed stiff I was using two hands to operate, but within a day, I had no problem using the light; it is a one-handed light. If you need a flashlight that is bright, convenient to carry, and easy to operate one-handed, I do not think you will be disappointed with this choice.
One of the best Penlights
The protac 2aaa is a tough light, and it has a very bright strobe. It is very efficient for the lumen output. One tip is to use LOW when you don't need super bright as it helps save battery. I've bought cheap lights that claim 500 lumens, but they don't compare. It's worth paying a few bucks more for the Streamlight!
The light is convenient
I bought two of these Streamlight ProTac 2AAA. One for me and one for my wife. It is a Small size is great for my pocket or her purse. The light is convenient with its three settings. Simple to use. It outputs a lot of light on low setting for most applications, but if you need more, it also has 130 lumens. And it only requires 2 AAA batteries!
