Well, using a universal site pusher - the 1st purchase of this optics plate snapped. a piece of the base simply snapped off in the dovetail of the slide. I have to pay a gun smith to slide it back out and now try to refit the 2nd one I purchased. I'm sure the broken one would work with the missing part off the bottom, and can admit...maybe the 1st one was my fault? I dunno, it's worth trying again. If the second one snaps, then I can give an honest review.

Rock island armory 1911 red dot mount

I didn’t have a lot of trouble mounting this on my rock island armory 1911 slide. The novak dove tail is tight, and I had to use a brass punch to drive it in. Make sure to drive it from left side to the right side. It is rock solid. I mounted a trijicon rmr to it easily and sighted the pistol in. I have shot a few hundred rounds through it, and have not had to adjust the sight.
