The SRO is designed to survive the rigors of slide ride pistols and is engineered for hard use. It shares a similar electronics design with the proven Trijicon RMR®.
Like the RMR the SRO is forged from 7075, T-6 aircraft grade aluminum, making it much more durable than conventional red dot sights. This forged housing protects the lenses and electronics, and it has been tested to survive typical pistol mounted drops.

Mounted it on a gen 5 Glock 17 MOS. The first group at 7 meters off a rest was cloverleaf but 6" left of center. It took much dialing to get it centered, but once there, it has stayed. At age 73, this looks like the tool I need to boost my scores. GSSF match this weekend will tell the tale. On the range today, my wife asked to try it. She is not a Glock shooter and has never used a red dot sight before. After a quick review, she put her first three shots, unsupported, into a cloverleaf dead center at 7 meters. Three of the next string of five went through the same hole. Speaks volumes for the value of the sighting system.
Trijicon Stars Up Their Already Amazing Reflex Sight
The SRO has the quality and greatness the RMR has, but with the increased field of view and the ability to change batteries without removing the gun's sight. Please put it on, sight it in, and forget about it. If you’re on the fence whether to buy an SRO or not, jump off and buy it!
I have an RMR and like it a lot, but I felt the field of view a little narrow when I went into the woods. After determining that this sight is tested to the same tolerances as the RMR, for my purposes, this sight suited my needs just a little better.
Great optic purchase for me.
As an older guy, with a blurring shooting eye, red dots definitely make the struggle of picking up the front sight no longer an issue. Just look through the great big window and put the dot there. I also have the Trijicon RMR, but definitely prefer the larger, rounder window and 5 MOA of the SRO. Pricey, but no question of the value for me.
Excellent aid for aging eyes

I love this red dot
Used for target shooting and plinking, out of the box it was dead on at 25 yards. Easy to adjust and use, sight picture is huge , red dot is easy and fast to acquire. I would but it again in a minute.
Love this Optic
I replaced the Vortex Venom on my CZ Shadow 2 with the Trijicon SRO and I love it. My transitions are much better with this optic. the dot s sharp and clear and very bright. I will be replacing the JPoint mini sight on my M&P 9L with one of these as woon as they are back in stock.
Nice upgrade over the RMR
I replaced my RMR on my G17 MOS, with the SRO due to its much larger viewing window compared to the RMR. Easy installation in the same mounting holes as the RMR and it only took a handful of rounds to have it zeroed. I am very satisfied with its performance.
Great Red Dot Sight
I really like this Trijicon SRO. Put it on a Glock G45 mos, but fifteen dollars for two small screws for the most popular brand of handgun in the world goes beyond the pale. I used a grinder and ground the supplied screws to about two threads recessed in the mounting plate with the sight attached and the screws screwed in till just barely touching the sight so that when I mounted the sight plate to the slide I could torque it to 15 in lbs with no problem. Trijicon has seen the last of me.
Another excellent optic by Trijicon. Very well made, solid, great glass. I’m going to buy another one.
The Trijicon SRO has better features than the RMR
The Trijicon SRO has sots of improvements over the RMR. Better lens clarity with less edge distortion, crisper dot, larger window, works as well with NVGs as RMR, external battery compartment, and uses the established RMR footprint for mounts. The lens still has some blue tint, which I personally don’t care for, but overall this is a much better sight than the RMR. Time will tell on durability/longevity.
