As a newcomer to the world of AR rifles, I was looking for a solid, reliable scope mount to attach my scope to my firearm. The Vortex Pro Cantilever Mount fit the bill perfectly, with its sturdy construction and ability to hold zero. However, I did run into a problem with the instructions that came with the mount. They suggested tightening the mount base to 65 in/lbs, but as it turns out, that was a misprint. According to Vortex, the actual torque should be 35-40 in/lbs. Unfortunately, I tightened the mount to the incorrect torque and ended up snapping the bolt. Fortunately, Vortex has a great guarantee and was happy to replace the mount for me without any hassle. So, while there was a hiccup with the instructions, the Vortex Pro Cantilever Mount itself is an excellent choice for attaching your scope to your AR rifle. Just be sure to follow the correct torque when installing the mount to avoid any issues.

Got my vortex cantilever mount yesterday. I had to buy a picatinny rail because the Cantilever would not fit a weaver rail on my Ruger 10/22. So beware of this when buying a Ruger 10/22. Other than that problem. the rings fit tight I used a little blue loctight on the screws to make it even tighter.

This is the best scope ring / mounting system I have purchased. Easy to adjust and sturdy. I know if I bump my scope in the woods, my shot will still hit the target. Also plenty of scope clearance for my scope off the AR rail.

For the money, this is a pretty good AR15 scope mount. After mounting it to the rifle with the scope, it seems pretty solid. The construction isn't quite as heavy as my Midwest Industries mount, but the Vortex is less expensive. I had some concerns about the height as I was mounting a 5-25 Strike Eagle on an AR, but it cleared. Just, but it cleared. Haven't had the opportunity to field test yet, but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be just fine for normal use.

This is a very sturdy cantilever mount, very easy to install. Nice looking and very well made.

It doesn't get any easier to mount a scope to the rifle when using this mount. The bolts that attach the mount to the rail do walk out when shooting. A couple of drops of blue Loctite fixed the issue, though.

The vortex pro series cantilever mount fit was easy, and it did look sharp when finished. Scope mounted easy and has stayed where I put it. I have shot a couple of hundred rounds and have no complaints.

I used this mount on my AR 223 w/ a Vortex Strike Eagle scope. Once I found zero haven't had a single problem since. I have put more than 1,000 rounds through my rifle. I am thrilled with all my Vortex products and will continue to purchase their brand.

I'm new to the AR world, and this is the first scope mount I've purchased. It is excellent, well built, and holds zero—everything I would expect a horse to be. One caveat, though, is the instructions that come with the mount suggest tightening the mount base to 65 in/lbs. That was a misprint. The actual (as I was told in an email from Vortex) should be 35-40 in/lbs. At the 65 in/lbs weight, I snapped the bolt right off. However, true to their guarantee, Vortex replaced the mount without hassle. Excellent mount, don't over-tighten.
