Magpul MS3 Sling GEN2

The MS3 Sling design offers a versatile weapon-retention solution. Rapidly-convertible, the MS3 transitions from single-point to two-point use with ease. One-handed adjustments, quick-release, and positive locking hardware provide flexibility and durability in an adaptable Magpul sling system.
The MS3 GEN2 combines a low-profile quick-adjust slider which minimizes bulk and provides secure, effortless, sling adjustment. Webbing length has been increased for a relaxed fit with all body types and armor configurations.

- Symmetrical Paraclip™ shackles allow for smooth development and provide weapon quick-release capabilities in an emergency
- Cross-Bolt Lock Bar in each Paraclip allows the user to lock its lever closed for extra security optionally
- Steel Paraclip levers are case hardened and finished with a ferritic nitrocarburizing process for extreme resistance to wear and corrosion
- Custom 1.25-inch wide nylon webbing material is durable and wears resistant while remaining anti-chaff for user comfort
- Low-profile adjustment Slider for adding or removing sling tension in two-point mode with a single-hand
- Colored webbing has Near Infrared (NIR) treatment to reduce IR signature

- REAR - Works with the Magpul ASAP® for optimal shoulder transitioning in the one-point mode as well as the SGA™ Receiver Sling Mount. Also compatible with many snap-hook style sling loops* and standard or QD sling swivels.
- FRONT - Compatible with the Magpul RSA®, MSA™, and Forward Sling Mount, as well as many snap-hook style sling loops* and standard or QD sling swivels for use in two-point mode.
* Snap-hook style sling loops with an inner diameter of at least 3/8" are required, but 9/16" and larger will provide a full range of motion.

What, can I say - I love this Sling. I quickly learned during deployment how well a Single Point sling functions, but I also quickly learned how much a Single Point sling could suck when you're using both of your hands for another task. My solution at the time was to use both: a short Single Point clipped directly to my body armor in addition to my Army issued Two Point Sling. It was functional, but a bit too "busy" with sling straps just hanging there waiting to get snagged on something. So when I first discovered Magpul's design, I was very intrigued (even if it was too late for me to put it to use in a "real world" military environment). And having used all the variants that were/are available, I think the current MS3 G2 is as close to "perfect" as I've seen in a sling. It offers the best of both worlds (a Single and Two Point sling), and the Gen 2's "slider" (for rapid length adjustment) works incredibly well (much improved from the "loop" adjuster on the first MS3 or MS2). And as one of the other Reviewers stated, I prefer the "alligator clips" over the QD attachments (as much as I try, I can't bring myself to like any of the QD sling attachments I've seen). Anyway, I know everyone has their preferences when it comes to slings, but if you appreciate the potential advantages of both a Single and a Two Point sling, stop debating which one to settle for and get them both in the Magpul MS3 Gen2.
