This is a great grip for ...
This is an excellent AK grip for the money... not as nice as the expensive grips but better than the stock plastic on my Yugo M70AB2. Mounts easy, seats nice and tight, great fit for my lengthy hands. The storage compartment is excellent for my shell extractor and sight tool — great add-on for a more conventional machine gun feel.
I bought this to replace ...
I bought this tapco ak grip to replace the wimpy pistol grip that came on my WASR-10. It installed quickly and fits perfectly. This grip feels infinitely better in my hand than the original one! I feel like I have much better control. If I ever get another AK, I will definitely get another one of these grips! I got my order in 2 business days with standard USPS, you can't beat that!
Looks good and fits ...
The Tapco saw grip looks good and fits the receiver well for the price. But the trap door is a little flimsy, and it's challenging to get the screw started into the mounting nut. There is no guide, and the screw flops around until you can get it in place. That's why I gave it three stars.

The parts I buy are based on function and comfort. I don't rate products based on the "cool factor." I have large hands, so the standard AK grip had to go. I am happy with how comfortable this product is. It has a good grip surface and mounts solid. I also like the storage area in the grip. I am only giving this four stars because the latch that holds the hinged bottom cover in place is a bit flimsy — otherwise a great AK Grip.
Great AK grip.
Great AK grip. Very comfortable provides excellent grip and is very sturdy. I highly recommend this grip to anyone tired of the standard, small AK grip.
Tapco saw grip
I wear size 11 gloves, so the standard AK grips just don't work for me. There's a limited number of options out there for people with large hands who run AKs, so I ended up with this grip. The things I like are obviously the larger size, and I also like the way it mounts better than the standard AK grip. Where the standard AK grip uses a long screw that runs all the way through from the bottom of the grip (a weak design in my opinion), this grip is hollow, so it uses a short screw that only runs through the top of the grip into the mounting block in the receiver. I saw another review that mentioned the grip cracking around the mounting screw, but I've never had a problem with mine even though the rifle is often held only by the grip while using my weak hand for various other tasks. The reason I didn't give it the fifth star is for two reasons. First, for me, the grip angle actually needs to be slightly steeper; it is almost laid down too much for the AK platform, in my opinion. It's not bad, but it's just not quite ergonomically perfect. That same feeling may or may not apply to other people depending on exactly how you hold the weapon and what kind of grip angles you're most familiar with. Second, like many AK parts, you may have to do a little work to make it fit your particular AK perfectly. The grip would bolt on my rifle just fine and be perfectly functional, but the edges of the cutout around the trigger guard were sharp, and the grip material also came forward along with the trigger guard too far, which affected my trigger manipulation slightly. A small file and a few minutes of my time fixed both issues. As for the storage compartment, I've never used it as it has zero use for my application. Basically, if you have large hands, this grip is worth a try. It's not perfect, but it is reasonably priced, and the options for large hands are limited when it comes to AKs.
