Blue Force Gear Vickers AK Sling
The Standard AK Sling was designed from the ground up to be the perfect sling for the world’s most prolific small arm to match the qualities of the AK – simple, durable, functional, and economical. If you have been long dissatisfied with the issue canvas strap or can’t seem to get commercial slings to fit right, this sling is for you.
Blue Force Gear started with the Vickers Sling platform used by good guys the world over. With over 200,000 in use with the US military, the Vickers Sling with its quick adjust technology has a track record of being combat proven. Like the Vickers Sling, the Standard AK Sling can be instantly lengthened and shortened with no sling tail to get caught or parts to break. This allows close, secure weapon retention that can be carried all day, but instantly lengthened to be shouldered and fired without removing the weapon or untangling the sling. The sling can be sized to the individual, with or without body armor or other gear.
The Standard AK Sling comes with a Molded Universal Wire Loop threaded onto the front of the sling. Ideally suited for the AK, the UWL attaches to the elongated eyelet on handguard retainer or gas block quietly and securely with nylon coated aircraft grade stainless steel cable. The UWL can also be passed through underneath the gas tube for left-hand installation. The UWL is threaded on the front and can be removed for a more custom application.
The rear of the sling features two triglides to attach to buttstocks, folding stocks, wire stocks, or any other stock type.
Unique to the Standard AK Sling is the limited run of plum hardware. As a tribute to the famed Russian “plum” furniture and mags of the late 1980s, the plum hardware on OD and Coyote Brown slings is the finishing touch of such a unique sling.

This was a great sling, very easy to use, and very reliable. The most durable sling I’ve had and looks great on the gun. The Vickers tactical sling was precisely what I was looking for. You can not beat the price of this sling!

First, if you prefer a 2 point adjustable sling, the Vickers is up there. It has a smooth adjustment, works well shooting with or without a plate carrier. Slings are a subjective subject, just like optics, grips, hand guards etc. There are a ton of options out there, but I like the durability to cost index (value) I get from BFG slings. There are cheaper options that will work, but those cheaper options come at the price point of using cheaper materials. They may be fine for a range toy, but if you want it to make last sure, you get something with materials that last. I own a few Vickers slings, and they all work for me.

This is the best AK sling I know of. It works perfectly, and I like that the hardware is nylon polymer rather than metal, so it doesn't rattle or rust. I've had such luck with this AK sling I've even used them on M4 pattern rifles with the sling swivel. I think they've got a good product here, no complaints.

We run the Vickers slings at work on our M4A1s. I got used to them and they are good sling, so I grabbed an AK version for the SGL-31. I run it with a TQ holder as well. Sling is durable, usable, and a hell of a deal. If you are a serious AK user, do yourself a favor and grab one.

Incredible rifle sling, utilized on my AK, works extraordinary. It's completely flexible and has a more reliable contact point for loop near the gas tube; it runs in a way that is better than the MS3 as the wire circle won't break like the ms3 plastic brace. The main thing I don't care for is the adjustment piece is plastic.
