The success of the AFG and AFG-2 by Magpul lead to the development of the M-LOK® angled foregrip (AFG) version that offers substantial improvements over its predecessors. The entire design is based on a minimalist approach to its construction, yet it provides several important features that shooters will enjoy. The high strength grip uses a direct attach M-LOK® mounting system for maximum efficiency even though the entire unit weighs 1.2 ounces which include the hardware.
The M-LOK® AFG manages to be slightly shorter than the AFG-2, yet it maintains a very similar gripping area on the surface. The somewhat shorter profile does mean that it offers a better range of mounting options. Despite its compactness as compared to previous models, the M-LOK® AFG is more ergonomically designed and provides a higher level of comfort which creates better weapon control and reduces fatigue.
Another advantage of the M-LOK® AFG is that it places the shooter’s hand high up on the centerline of the bore which differs from previous models that use conventional foregrips which are vertical. Because of this new positioning, the M-LOK® AFG reduces the recoil action which allows for better weapon control when firing follow-up shots at a faster rate.
All the hardware necessary for the attachment is provided for the M-LOK® AFG which includes the handguards crafted from aluminum or polymer and the forends as well. This product is made in the USA.

The Magpul Angled Foregrip m-lok has a cool grip, BUT the manufacturer used an excessive amount of locktite on the bolts, making it challenging to tighten them down. The thick locktite required the use of two wrenches and a drill, which eventually stripped both screws due to the pressure exerted during the tightening process. To avoid this issue, it is advisable to wipe off the locktite completely and apply a drop of your own if you decide to get the Magpul Angled Foregrip m-lok.

The magpul mlok Angled Foregrip Fits well, installs quickly. It just the right size for me. I like the fact that both ends have little nubs so your hand can't slide off of the grip. It does stick down a bit farther than I expected, but that's just a looks thing for me.

So after a trip to the range, I discovered just how hot this Ruger Ar-556 pistol is. So after doing some research, I decided to go with Magpul's M LOK Angled Grip. Not only was it easy to install, but it achieved my two goals. 1.) To give me better tactical control over the firearm. 2.) To give me a place to handle the firearm that was not scalding hot after the continuous shooting. This product did exactly what I needed. Thank you Magpul. While I found M Lok tricky to install the first few times, over-torqued the t nuts and screws the first time, and damaged my aluminum handguard, I cannot hold operator error against Magpul. It now sits tightly secured on my rail. The low profile and the angle of the grip feel pretty natural when wrapping my hand around my slim handguard. It is just what I was looking for. The quality that is always expected and delivered from any Magpul product I have seen is there.

Great m lok angled foregrip, Good pricing, Quick delivery, and packaged well. Great product from Magpul. I have one on my Ruger Ar-556 and my S&W M&P AR15-22 Gen. 2. It's very lightweight and easy to install. With Mlok furniture there's no need to remove handguards which worked great on M&P because I don't have a tool to remove handguard on it yet.

Cool m lok afg, HOWEVER.... they put so much Loctite on the bolts, and it was so thick that it took two wrenches and a drill to tighten them down, which eventually stripped both screws because of all the pressure it took to tighten them. If you get this, definitely wipe the locktite OFF completely and put a drop of your own on.

This M Lok angled foregrip quite a bit smaller than the AFG2, which is smaller than the AFG. Overall I like this foregrip, but I don't love it. It does what supposed to do, but I wish it had a bit more meat to it. Was kind of a pain the rear to install too (the m-lock mechanism, while sturdy, requires the square nuts to lined up pretty much perfectly to remove). Getting it exactly where you want it isnt always possible due to the layout of the mounts on them-lock rail. Think I'll go for the AFG2 with a 1913 adapter on the next one, but only because I care for the bigger size to hold on to. Overall, this is another excellent product from Magpul.

The m lok afg fits perfectly on my Magpul foreend. The M-Lock system is very nice, and i had no issues with installation. I would say that the grip feels a little small in my hand. I find that my pointer finger is riding the front ridge a bit when my hand is the whole way back on the grip. To counter that, I have been putting my pointer finger over the ridge and on the foreend. Otherwise, it is an AFG, and does what its job.
