Keeping your shots on target is what it’s all about. Whether you require the quick target acquisition of a red dot or the range of a magnified optic, the Gen-3 Dog LegTM scope rail has you covered. Mounted directly over the receiver, the patented Dog LegTM scope rail with integral dust cover provides optimal balance, generous rail space, and protects delicate optics from barrel heat. The ingeniously simple and rugged design provides a rock solid ak scope mount for accuracy and a forward-hinged, quick release cover with rear cam lock design to preserve the AK’s field stripping qualities. The quick release hinge also allows the use of longer scopes without the need for quick detach mounts. Available in various configurations for standard pattern AK, Yugo, C39 and PSL rifles.

Works well on my recently purchased Bulgarian, milled AK 47. Provides excellent base for the Vortex Strike Eagle 1x6. However, the initial combo was not completely suitable. The gun factory recoil assembly is telescopic and not compatible with the TWS system. I had to order additional parts. Also, the heal of the recoil button is too wide and needs additional filing to fit the receiver profile. Recommended with some reservations related to the aforementioned comments.

After searching for a decent mount for my C39 V1 I have found that the TWS dog leg was perfect. After removing the cover to perform maintenance on the rifle the optic held zero and continues to perform well.

I love the way it looks on my rifle and holds tight and doesn't wobble. It holds a good zero whenever you put the dust cover back on. The reason I gave it a 4 star and not a 5 star is it is kind of difficult to put the rail back on whenever you take it off.

I have a ras47 magpul edition. I looked in to numerous side mounts and to be honest I wasn't convinced. I found the top rail mount and it was a no brainer. It fit perfect and it looks great. What I didn't like is that the instructions are okay in describing how to install. Honestly it would make it easier if they made a video on their website and have it available to be seen by the installer. I did find a video on YouTube that kind of had the same install and with common sense I was able to do it. Other then that I love the product. Will definitely continue to purchase products from this company.

The new dust cover/mounting rail fit perfectly and is very solid. It took about 10 min. to install and adjust. It is exactly what I was looking for. I am now able to mount any optics I want. I am using a red dot sight that sits high enough so that I can still use the rear peep sight with the front sight. Best of both worlds.

This went on my C39V2. Very easy to install it is rock solid. Took it to the gun shop where o purchased the rifle. They didn't have a high opinion of railed dust covers but had never heard of the dog leg rail. They were very impressed with how solid it was. Haven't field tested it yet but very soon.
