Description
Designed as part of an integrated system, the Gen-3 Handguard offers greater levels of functionality, modularity, and durability. The co-planar top rail keeps all accessories such as optics, night vision, or thermal devices properly aligned. For additional functionality, the Gen-3 Handguard is also M-LOK® compatible. The semi-floated handguard design minimizes barrel disturbance while the ample ventilation holes assure the quickest cooling and minimize weight. Critical AK functionality is retained by allowing the installation of the cleaning rod and bayonet

Compatibility
Fits AKM type stamped receiver rifles with standard smooth front trunnion. Includes barrel clamp for standard barrel diameter of .670" +/- .010" as measured 1/4 inch before rear sight block.
- If you have a STAMPED receiver, you will need to determine your rifles’ barrel size.
- Please use the images (HG Measuring Instructions - measuring the barrel for internal components) to determine your rifle’s barrel diameter.
Will not fit Yugo, milled receiver, or bulged front trunnion type rifles.

Very well made piece. Slight fitment issue with the provided guide tube. The notch on the rear of the guide tube wasn't long enough. I had to grind a little less than a 1/4" to allow the screws to align from the upper to lower portions of the handguard. I'm sure fitment varies depending on the AK. My install was on a Century Arms WASR-10.

I'm particular when it comes to my weapons, so I won't just purchase anything. I've shopped for over a year for a system that would serve my needs for my SKS refit. Hands down, I couldn't have made a better purchase than this ATI SKS stock. I've gotten a lot of compliments about how my weapon looks. Changed out the receiver cover with a rail system and mounted a Nikon P223 scope. Added the heavier butt pad....she's a beast. No doubt about it, I'd definitely purchase this system again
