Mesa Tactical LEFT Side Saddle SureShell Carrier for Remington 870 (4-Shell, 12-GA)
Fits: Remington 870, Remington 1100, Remington 11-87 & TAC-14
Mesa Tactical Side Saddle Sureshell 870 shell carrier mounts directly to the shotgu's receiver. That meant that each shell carrier had to be designed to fit a specific brand and model shotgun. Because of the basic design, only the backing plate/mounting bracket had to be changed. Note the cut-out area between the mounting screw holes that reveals the serial number on the 870's receiver.

Customer Ratings & Reviews
The carry is very well made and fit my 870 Express Magnum perfectly. The instructions are complete and the included hardware fit very well.
Mesa Tactical 870 side saddle is well made .
This Mesa tactical 870 side saddle moves the shells forward and keeps them from jamming the fingers of the firing hand on recoil. Well made and simple to install.
Rock solid Remington Shotgun Shell Carrier
I was impressed with the quality right away with the Mesa Tactical Shell Carrier, its all metal. The shell holder can be removed from the backplate if you need to replace the rubber tube (extra included) which employs pressure to hold the shells. It took some effort to get the rounds in at the beginning, but I'm pleased about that because I don't want them falling out while I'm hiking in the woods. Installing the Mesa Tactical Shell Carrier took less than 10 seconds. This was my first time removing the two pins on my receiver, and I was afraid at first and probably read the instructions a billion times, but it's crazy easy to install. Just line up the backplate over the pins, use the new screws to push out the old ones, tighten and that's it!! DONE 10 seconds. Excellent fit on my Remington 870 Express with no gaps. It also came with a thin rubber pad to place between the backplate and the receiver to stop scratches. Naturally, I added that too, and it gave a rigid, robust fitting. Very pleased with this item!
First of all, MS+ has lightning fast shipping! I accidentally ordered the wrong part at first, but customer support was able to exchange my part very quickly. I sent my part back, and they sent the correct one out as soon as they received mine. The part itself is expertly machined and anodized aluminum, and appears to hold up much better than plastic shell carriers. It holds various types of 12GA rounds very securely, but also allows them to be removed very quickly due to the method by which the rounds are secured. This would be a piece of rubber tubing that runs through the inside of the shell carrier. Replacement tubes can also be gotten from Mesa Tactical if you want a different fit, or if your tube is damaged somehow. Keep in mind that the rubber tubing should be maintained just the same as any other rubber part. The only drawback with this method is that - according to the instructions - if you accidentally leave rounds in the carrier for too long, the rubber tubing can lose its elasticity and it won't hold the shells securely anymore. I personally haven't had this happen, but the instructions also read that the rubber will return to its original shape if the shells are removed from the carrier for a few hours. Overall, this is a great shell carrier that will probably last just as long as the shotgun.
