As a gunsmith, I have used this remington 870 scope mount many times and find for the non police or military consumer it works very well and allows for flexable ring placement. Solves many issues with ring spacing that a two slot base would create.

Great Scope Mount

I put this weaver scope mount on my 870 express magnum and equipped it with a red dot scope for turkey hunting. I shoot nothing but 3.5" shells, and it holds up great. It took me 3 shells to sight in the gun. The next 3 shells out of the gun put 3 turkeys in the dirt. great product. just make sure to put Loctite on the screws when you install the rail.

Fits perfectly on my 870

Fits perfectly on my 870, my only small complaint is the matte coating isnt very solid. It can be marred by the some sight bases. this is the only reason its 4 instead of 5. its not a hard coating.My only tip would be to put locktight on the threads to keep the screws from backing out, just be careful not to let any drip inside the receiver.

When I first installed the Mesa remington 870 saddle mount, the whole thing had a very small but noticeable wobble to it. Took the screws out and filed em down just a tad and that fixed the wobble issue. Now it sits like a rock on my 870 holding spare shells just as expected. The rail on the top works great for mounting what ever you want. If you do get one that has some play in it just remember to file down the screws just a tad and the world will be right again.

Fits perfectly

This EGW Remington 870 scope mount fits my 20 gauge perfectly. I mounted a Sig Sauer Romeo red dot scope on it, and the set up is very secure, which is super important. I've had scopes fly off and hit me in the face before. I am satisfied.

Awesome scope mount!

I ordered the weaver 870 scope mount. I was hesitant because some people said that many sights don't fit on this particular base, but I tried three different ones that I own, and they all fit perfectly. All the screw holes lined up, and the finish on this thing looks nice with the finish on the shotgun. I recommend this item.
