Magpul Bipod for Sling Stud QD

The Magpul Bipod – Sling Stud QD is the next offering in the Magpul bipod line. Designed to mount on the Uncle Mike's ® Sling Swivel Stud found on most sporting rifles, the Magpul Bipod – Sling Stud QD is the strongest, most fully-featured bipod available with direct sling stud mounting capability.

The stainless-steel mounting system self-locates and aligns perfectly every time, and an ergonomic thumbwheel allow for an excellent grip to ensure easy tightening. Additionally, two sizes of non-marring, high-durometer rubber mounting gaskets are provided to ensure optimized fit and load distribution on narrow sporter-contour or wider target-style forends. The ability to mount a sling with standard locking sling swivels on the forend is maintained with a low-profile sling stud on the rear of the Sling Stud QD mount, which also provides for a quick detachment when it's needed.

    Durable & Lightweight

Like our other bipods, Magpul Bipod – Sling Stud QD is exceptionally strong and built to perform under punishing field conditions. The Sling Stud QD bipod is constructed of rugged, high-strength materials and designed to last a lifetime. In the shooting position, it is easily loaded with stabilizing forward tension without fear of failure or warping. Mil-spec hard anodized 6061 T-6 aluminum, stainless steel internals, and injection-molded reinforced polymer ensure years of dependable performance and reliability, all while shaving weight. At just over 13 oz., the Magpul Bipod is lighter than many pricier bipods currently on the market.

Innovative, Adjustable, & Easy to Use

Deploying and adjusting the Magpul Bipod is quick and easy. Spring-tensioned legs stow neatly forward and snap down and lock into place with one hand. Leg extensions slide and lock securely with the push of a button on any of the seven half-inch spaced locking detents. The legs extend almost 3.5", from 6.6" to 10.0" in length. An industry-exclusive 50° of total tilt (+/- 25 degrees on either side) is controlled by a glove-friendly knurled tool-less bipod locking knob located between the extended legs, allowing easy adjustment between shots.

    Streamlined in Design and Execution

From the drawing board, the Magpul Bipod was designed to be barely noticed until needed. Folded, the streamlined housing and legs fit neatly under the barrel and are just under 2.5" deep and 3.3" wide. In addition, anodized surfaces and tight, precision tolerances mitigate squeaks and rattles.

    Functional Feet

The Sling Stud QD bipod has many features that are also useful even when it is in the stowed position. A soft rubber bipod locking knob cap is attached to the locking knob gives users a steady, non-marring forward rest while the bipod is folded. Additionally, its staggered soft rubber feet hold fast on a variety of shooting surfaces and are easily removed with a roll pin punch. Should users choose to change feet, the Sling Stud QD bipod's legs accept most Atlas pattern bipod replaceable feet, except for the Atlas 5-H style.

The Magpul Bipod – Sling Stud QD is available in BLK or FDE colors.

    Sturdy and Light

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this bipod, considering the price. I looked at other brands, but they were outside of my budget. This bipod is slim, rugged, and easy to use. It appears to be well-built and the adjustments are simple. Overall, it's a great quality product, and I wouldn't expect anything less from the MagPul name. I highly recommend this one if you're in the market for a reliable and cost-effective bipod. It offers a wide range of features without breaking the bank.

I appreciate how lightweight this Magpul Bipod is, as it doesn't add a significant amount of forward weight when shooting from the shoulder. The 25-degree rotation of the legs in either direction is also proper when shooting from uneven terrain or taking uphill or downhill shots. I have one mounted on my Bergara B-14 Wilderness HMR in 6.5 Creedmoor and it fits great. It helped me get a deer last fall and has remained stable and secure during shooting. I also appreciate that it's compatible with Atlas feet, which allows me to switch between rubber and other types of feet as needed. Overall, I'm thrilled with this Magpul Bipod Sling Stud.

    best bipod for the price

Extremely impressed with the quality of this bipod for the price. Magpul consistently produces excellent products at reasonable prices, and this bipod is no exception. I installed it on my Tikka T3 Lite, and it feels solid. It pops right in and allows you to use a QD attachment on a sling if that interests you. The adjustment range is decent and allows for some lean, making it suitable for shooting from various platforms. This is a fantastic bipod, and I'm glad I purchased it."

    Excellent bipod

I am delighted with this sling swivel bipod. After being disappointed with a Harris bipod I had purchased previously, I decided to try this one, and I'm glad I did. The ability to cant the rifle is beneficial, and the bipod securely attaches to the sling stud easily. It's also quiet to deploy, which is essential for use on a hunting rifle. I now have one mounted on my Ruger American Ranch in 5.56 and plan on buying another for my Ruger American Predator chambered in 308 Win. I also have the M-Lok model mounted on my Ruger AR-556 MPR. These three bipods have exceeded my expectations and are excellent products from Magpul. I highly recommend them.

I've always been a fan of Harris bipods, but I decided to try the Magpul on my new Tikka T3X and I'm glad I did. It is mounted perfectly and is very easy to use. The compact design with no exposed springs is a nice touch, and I'm definitely planning on purchasing a few more in the future.

    Great Bipod, would buy again!

I'm really impressed with this bipod, especially considering the affordable price. It's well-built, sturdy, and lightweight and attaches securely to the sling stud with the optional rubber bases. I mounted it on my Ruger American Rifle in 7mm-08, which fits perfectly with the narrow rubber base. It holds the rifle steady and allows me to shoot with confidence. The sling stud on the back of the bipod has ample room to attach a sling and allows for a full range of movement. The only downside is the audible click when deploying the legs, but you can almost eliminate this noise with a bit of use. Compared to more expensive bipods, this one performs just as well and is suitable for its intended purpose. I don't understand the negative reviews, as this bipod does its job admirably. I recommend it and purchase it again in the future.

I was already a fan of Magpul's bipods, so when I saw that they offered a QD Bipod designed for rifles with a sling stud, I knew I had to try it. I'm happy to report that it has exceeded my expectations. The bipod attaches securely to the sling stud and is built with quality materials. Installing it was a breeze. In short, I'm delighted with this purchase and would definitely purchase a sling stud bipod from Magpul again in the future.

Magpul sling mount bipod - Nothing is perfect

Nothing is perfect. That's the only reason it's four stars. This is my second one. First was an M lok this is a sling stud mount small stock adapter mounted right on my Ruger Scout. Nice secure lightweight easy on/off great for a range sight in. It fits multi rifles. The large adapter works well on both my Magpul (Remington LA and SA) Hunter stocks. The only complaint is no sticker is included in the box.

magpul bipod - sling stud qd is a good choice for the money

Although attaching a bipod to a sling swivel stud isn't the strongest way for attachment, when there's no rail to use for that, this will do. I was surprised at how solidly the mechanism clamped onto the swivel stud and provided the sturdy platform I needed—an excellent value.

Magpul bipod for qd swivel stud - pretty good with a few things that buyers should know

    * The bipod leg swing is 90 degrees, and there are only two positions. * The collapsed legs are over 6 inches long. From a lot of the benches and prone positions I shoot from, it would be better if it started at 5 inches. If you do not have an adjustable or short platform to shoot from, this might be a noteworthy issue for you. * They seem to slip onto any sling studs on rifles that I have without issue and without scarring rifle stocks because of the rubber cushions provided * They seem sturdy enough for the bench and prone position use but would only get four stars for ruggedness due to the plastic leg extension and plastic housing for holding the legs like a pair * The cant adjustability is OK with a big knob * The feet seem rubberized * All adjustments have positive movement and clicks (except for cant adjustment it has no clicks and you wouldn't want any there) * There is a sling stud supplied on the front
