AmeriGlo SG-181 (Green Tritium 3-Dot) Tall Suppressor / Optic-Compatible Sight Set for for SIG
If you’re building a SIG pistol that can run a red dot and still keep dependable backup irons, the AmeriGlo SG-181 is designed for exactly that job—without turning your sight picture into a cluttered mess. It’s a tall, suppressor-height style set with green tritium and white outlines so the dots stay easy to find in daylight and remain visible when the lights drop.
Fits: Most SIG Sauer® Models
At a glance
- Tall sight height: intended for suppressor clearance and modern optic setups
- Green tritium, 3-dot layout: familiar alignment with a clear reference in low light
- White outlines: quicker dot pickup in bright conditions
- Practical upgrade path: great for carry, duty, training, or a do-it-all range build
Who this set is for
Choose SG-181 if you want:
- Backup irons that are easier to see with an optic setup
- A taller sight picture for a suppressor-host pistol
- A classic 3-dot layout with good daytime contrast
If you’re trying to hit a very specific co-witness height (absolute vs lower 1/3 vs lower 1/5), confirm your optic and mounting method first. Plate height, direct-mount cuts, and optic body design can all change where the irons land in the window.
What “optic-compatible” means in plain English
This set is built tall enough to be useful alongside many slide-mounted red dots. In real life, that means you’re more likely to have a usable iron sight picture available if your dot goes down or you just want a reference during training.
Co-witness results vary by setup, so treat “optic-compatible” as a strong starting point, then verify fitment for your specific SIG model and optic configuration.
Compatibility and fitment notes
SG-181 is commonly described as fitting many SIG dovetail applications, but SIG pistols and slide setups can differ by model, generation, and optics-ready configuration.
Before ordering, confirm:
- Your exact SIG model and slide type
- Whether your rear sight is dovetail-mounted or part of an optics plate system (if applicable)
- Any manufacturer fit notes for your pistol
If you’re unsure, it’s better to verify fitment than to guess.

Installation tips
A proper sight pusher (or a qualified installer) helps prevent slide damage and makes it easier to keep everything centered. After installation, confirm zero with your usual ammo.
Safety note: verify the firearm is unloaded before any handling or installation.
FAQ
Is SG-181 a night sight set?
Yes. It uses tritium for low-light visibility and a 3-dot layout for familiar alignment.
Will SG-181 co-witness with my red dot?
It can, but co-witness height depends on your optic and how it’s mounted (plate vs direct mount). If you need a specific co-witness level, compare your optic setup details before you buy.
Are these tall enough for suppressor use?
They’re built in a tall, suppressor-height style. Confirm your suppressor diameter and your slide setup if you’re trying to guarantee a particular sight picture over the can.
What makes this set easy to see in daylight?
The white outlines around the tritium dots add contrast so your eyes pick up the sight picture faster in bright conditions.
Does SG-181 fit all SIG pistols?
Not automatically. Fitment varies by model and slide configuration, especially on optics-ready setups. Always confirm compatibility for your specific SIG model.
Can I install them myself?
Many people do, but the right tools matter. If you don’t have a sight pusher or you’re not comfortable fitting sights, professional installation is a safe option.

You must have these for suppressor use!
I am planning to purchase more sights from Ameriglow in the future and hope that the company continues to prioritize quality over profits. In my experience, the finish on these sights has been highly durable and showed no signs of marring or tool marks during installation. They are also bright and well-contoured, with no sharp edges. The low light-to-darkness visibility is also a significant plus. However, the cost of these sights is on the higher side and requires me to build a custom sight pusher as none of the commercial tools could accommodate tall sights like these. Overall, I have been satisfied with my purchase and would recommend these sights to others.
Great Sig p226 Suppressor Sights
I recently installed these sights on my Sig P226 Combat, and they have worked exceptionally well. I needed taller sights to improve visibility over my AAC Tiirant 9 suppressor, and these did the trick. They are highly visible in low light conditions and easily see over the suppressor. The installation process was straightforward and took about 10 minutes. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend these sights with confidence.
Ameriglo Sig Sauer Complete Night Sight Sets
I highly recommend these sights for anyone planning to attach a suppressor or RMR sight to their pistol. They are excellent quality and work well with my Fastfire 3 mounted on my Sig P320 compact. The red dot and Ameriglo sights fit seamlessly within the sight window, allowing for easy aiming. Overall, these sights are a must-have for any pistol setup, including a suppressor or RMR sight."
Sig Suppressor Sights
I recently installed these sights on my P226 Elite Tactical and have been extremely happy with the results. They are a significant improvement over the factory sights, especially when using a suppressor. I no longer have to look through the can to aim, as the sights are easily visible. The brightness of the glow in the dark feature is impressive, and I have not experienced any issues with them. The only thing that could make these sights even better would be the addition of an adjustable suppressor sight. Overall, I highly recommend these sights for anyone looking to improve their aim with a suppressor attached to their firearm.
Good sights
I recently purchased the Sig Sp2022 suppressor sights and have been delighted with their performance. I only needed the front sight for my Vortex Viper red dot but decided to buy the full set. However, I made the mistake of using an EGW mount for the back sight and found that it raised the Vortex Viper too high, making it difficult to see the sight. If you are considering getting suppressor sights for your pistol and are planning to use an EGW mount, keep in mind that it may not be compatible. Overall, I am satisfied with the product but just wanted to share my experience in case it is helpful to others.
Great sights and good price
I was impressed by the quality of these suppressor height sights and found them to be on par with Siglights and Trijicon night sights. Installing them on my Sig Sauer slide was a breeze, and they worked perfectly with my mounted RMR. These sights are easy to see in all lighting conditions and have been a great choice for my training and shooting. I recommend these Suppressor sights to anyone looking for suppressor height sights.
review of sights
I recently purchased these suppressor height sights for my Sig Sauer P320. The process was easy, and the product arrived quickly. These sights fit onto my P320 without issues and were dead-on targets straight out of the box. The brightness of the sights was more than sufficient in low-light conditions. Overall, I highly recommend these sights.
Installed super easy
I've been pleased with these suppressor height sights so far. I used a NcSTAR universal sight pusher to install them, and it only took 15 minutes. While I don't see much green in the sights, they do glow nicely in the dark, which allows me to easily find the red dot at night. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. It's worth noting that the sights are more white than green, but that doesn't really matter. The main goal is to be able to pick up the red dot in low light conditions, and these sights accomplish that.
SG-181 Suppressor Sights
I recently purchased two sets of these suppressor height sights for my Sig Sauer firearm. It's worth noting that the sight is wider (front to back) than the dovetail base. On the first set, the extra width was located towards the rear of the dovetail, but on the second set, the extra width was situated in front of the dovetail. In my case, I already had a rail mounted in front of the dovetail on my P226, so I had to remove and shorten the rail, which required a lot of work. It was odd that Ameriglo changed the configuration so quickly, only about a month apart, with no warning.
