Customer Ratings & Reviews
Very clear glass. Chevron brightness adjusts with variable lighting conditions. If I had any complaint, it would be that it can be too bright in full sun. Can shade it with a hand or cloth. It was attached to Picatinny rail in seconds. It has held up very well on Scar 17s, a platform known for beating up scopes.
Hope I got the right one.
I've always heard good things about ACOG sights, and after buying one, I can see why. I ordered the TA11H-G for my new 20" Colt AR15A4. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but it looks like it's a very high-quality optic. HOWEVER... I hope I bought the right one. The model that I bought was described as "Horseshoe dot 223 Remington Green Reticle." The case it came in shows the same. I was looking through the scope the reticle is labeled as 3.5 M240. Everything I see from Trijicon shows M240 is the reticle for 308 caliber rifles. I really need to check on this and make sure my BDC information is correct for my setup or if I should send it back and get the TA31RCO-A4P, which is designed for 223 20" rifles.
Outstanding scope. I highly recommend it for any tactical shooter. The aiming reticle is visible in all lighting situations, and the clarity is great.
This is my second ACOG. I use the TA11E, which is for the .308 cartridge. This is an outstanding optic. It does not require batteries and can be used in all lighting conditions. Mounts easily and is zeroed easily. Tough optic will withstand the recoil of my DPMS .308 flat top AR. Ranging is built into the reticle to allow you to estimate a man-sized target out to 800 meters. 0-300 meters are designed for quick acquisition reflex sighting. I have shot mine to 550 meters with ease from a combat rest position in an 18 mile an hour quartering wind and put all rounds into center mass (slight group spread) of a man-sized target. The only reason I did not give it five stars was due to low magnification ( 3.5 X ) and its high cost. But I will continue to buy the ACOG for all my MSR's.
I love trijicon products,
I love Trijicon products, and this sight is no disappointment. This sight has what I look for in a combat sight: ruggedness, the ability to engage threats from 0 yards to 800 yards with accurate rifle fire, and ease of use. MidwayUSA has the lowest price on the Trijicon ACOG sights anywhere; trust me, I have searched everywhere.
Ultimate fixed low magnification optic
If you want the best for a fixed low magnification optic, one word ... ACOG. I have had mine for many years, and have never seen anything comparable. The reason I chose the 3.5 T11 over the others is the larger field of view and eye relief. It's a fair bit better than the 4x I tried. I have shot many 3 gun matches with it and appreciated it every time. Taking targets from point blank to 300 yds. The BAC system works excellent and two eyes open is easy. Optics are so clear, take it out at night and it takes in so much light, almost like having night vision. The dual illumination is great, and the tritium is still going strong after 10 years. And it's built like a tank, and you could probably run over it with a tank and have it still function. Even the fiber optic light collector is super rugged and protected by the aluminum housing. This is a serious investment you can leave to your kids and it will still be a great scope 30 years from now - tritium might be dead by then :-) but it will still work great.
3.5 power for 800 yards??
3.5 power for 800 yards?? I was skeptical at first, but when I placed it on my Noveske AR, I was hearing gongs 100% of the time after sighting in at 100 yards. I have always been a high-power person (20x and up) and know what quality optics are, and these optics are top shelf and unreal for hunting, esp. when the game is running as you can leave both eyes open, which makes it easy to give a proper lead. After doe day this year and shooting a whitetail at 617yds with .223 and an all out running doe at 107 yards, I am sold. Maybe not a BR target, but hunting and defense, it's nothing short of awesome. Another feature is its ability to gather light, and you can see the reticle in complete darkness. Just give Trijicon a try, and you will never look back. I also like the Bible scripture on the side. Will this keep some people from buying? Yeah, probably, but will their company continue to be blessed and grow? I'd say yes. Good job, Trijicon.
best fixed power tactical scope
I always wanted a 4X32 ACOG because that's what the military was using. But I learned long ago not to shell out big bucks for optics before I look through them. When one local gun store started carrying the ACOG line, I got my chance; I was very glad I didn't just order a 4X32 online because the eye relief is all jacked up; on the other hand, the 3.5X35 is everything the 4X32 is not, liberal eye relief anywhere you put your head you have edge to edge clarity, and the glass is just as clear as the top end German optics. 3.5 power is enough to take 200-yard shoots but doesn't slow you down with both eyes open at 50 yards. Easily the best fixed power tactical scope on the market.
