The Streamlight TL Racker, a replacement forend that provides instant illumination of a thousand lumens. It's perfect for identifying threats in low light situations or during house checks. I'm also pairing it with the Crimson Trace Laser Saddle, which should make aiming and target identification much smoother. I demonstrated the brightness and alignment of the laser with the light on a door from both three and seven yards. Installation of the light was somewhat tricky, requiring a bit of creativity, especially since it uses the pricier CR123 batteries. When paired with the Laser Saddle, the controls might be a bit busy, requiring some practice to avoid confusion.

A year ago, I bought the Mossberg 590 Shockwave for home defense and decked it out with various enhancements, including a tactical light setup worth around fifty dollars. A year on, I've been thrilled with the firearm, but the tactical light started having issues. That's when I stumbled upon the Streamlight TL Racker 4N for the Mossberg 590 Shockwave at an auction and decided to bid on it, paying nearly the retail price of $110. This Streamlight TL Racker 4N shines at a whopping 1,000 lumens, which is three times brighter than my previous light. The installation was somewhat tricky since a specific tool for removing the forend nut wasn't included. However, once installed, the function and feel were excellent. The brightness and functionality of the light surpassed my expectations. On the downside, I sometimes accidentally hit the pad with my thumb, and I wish the safety strap was a tad tighter. Also, Streamlight could've easily provided the required tool for installation. Looking at the pros, the light's brightness is commendable. Its controls are intuitive, it fits snugly on the gun, and the ergonomics are impressive. Although installation was a bit of a challenge due to the absence of the forend nut tool, the price is great, especially considering the quality. In conclusion, the Streamlight TL Racker for the Shockwave was an excellent and affordable solution. It not only enhanced the gun's forend design, but it's also super bright and reliable. This is an integral high-intensity LED flashlight forearm designed for Mossberg 500 and Remington 870 shotguns. The flashlight emits a remarkable 850 lumens for 90 minutes, powered by two CR123 batteries, though you can opt for an 18 650 rechargeable battery with a slight trade-off in performance or duration. Weighing in at 10.7 ounces, it feels lighter than a wooden handguard but heavier than polymer ones like Magpul's. Streamlight claims the TL Tracker can project its beam up to 250 meters, which I found mostly accurate, though brightness does diminish at that range. The Tracker boasts an ambidextrous power switch, easy to find in the dark, ensuring quick activation when needed. During my tests with different shot types, the unit proved durable and reliable, without any sign of damage or unwanted shut-offs. There's a front bump on the handguard, acting as a hand stop, but with some powerful rounds, it might be uncomfortable. It offers great value compared to pricier competitors, making it an excellent addition to home defense shotgun setups, ensuring clear target identification in subpar lighting. Forend swapped out easily. Light is extremely bright, though it does not focus down to a tight area. I now consider it my go-to flashlight, accessorized with an attached 12-ga shotgun.

I was looking for an integral light for my Mossberg Shockwave, and this fit the bill perfectly. The light is very bright; the design is perfect for the application. It even includes the strap and a cut-out/ indention to help keep your hand from moving forward. All very advantageous for this weapon. All at a reasonable price.

Easy install on the 590 Shockwave. Quality! Very streamlined. Replaced an off-set light setup with this, much better! Easy battery changes. It makes my Shockwave the ultimate, Bump in the night Tool.

Purchased this for my 590 shockwave. Fit is perfect, and the strap allows for solid control. I highly recommend this forearm. The only thing I dont like about it is the plastic battery cap...but it has not failed.

This was the best addition to my Mossberg Shockwave. It allows the user 1000 lumens of light while not being cumbersome.

I bought this for my Shockwave 12 gauge with a Crimson Trace laser sight. It is far better to light than I expected it would be it has 1000 lumens and will light up the world. The light is in the foregrip, and switches made in the grip are far better than one attached to the gun with wiring to the switch. I waited until they made the Racker specifically for the Shockwave, easy to install and works great. Highly recommend it for your home defense weapon.
