Sadlak Airborne M1A Scope Mount - Lightweight Steel
For M1A / M1A Rifles
It was inspired by the Brookfield Precision Tool special production run of light weight steel mounts for the special forces in the 1980's
Sadlak Industries had been loaned an original Brookfield Light-weight mount several weeks before the 101st Airborne called expressing their interest in a lighter steel mount. Sadlak Industries had the interest and now they had an urgent need so they rose to the challenge to expedite it since their unit was about to deploy in a few weeks and we didn't want to let our brave troops down.
Sadlak Industries did our initial design overnight and had the first prototypes for heat-treat and testing in 2 days. They were cautious in where and how much material to remove to avoid compromising the over-all strength of the new light-weight mount. After many design revisions and prototypes and a few 18hr work days, Sadlak Industries had the right balance and production began. Mike Sadlak and his dedicated precision tool-makers worked tirelessly through many nights to deliver the finished mounts to the 101st Airborne on time.
It was a proud day for the employees at Sadlak Industries LLC. We thank the 101st and our military for the opportunity to serve them for a change!

Customer Ratings & Reviews
Extremely well built. Great customer support.
This is an exceptionally well-built and aesthetically pleasing mount. Don't be fooled by the "Lightweight Airborne" label - this is still a heavy-duty piece. I was initially concerned that it wouldn't fit on my Polytech M-14S rifle, but it fits perfectly. The instructions are incredibly thorough, and Sadlak even includes a troubleshoot sheet with tools (pins) to assist you in determining whether your rifle is within specifications. It's important to note that you will need to remove your stripper clip guide to accommodate the mount. My Chinese rifle made this process challenging, but with some patience and persistence, it can be done. I am currently using Burris Low XTR rings with an SWFA SS 10x42 Tactical Riflescope (MilRad), which provides 0.05" clearance over the rear sight.
Sadlak steel airborn mount fits correctly
This is an impressive scope mount that I would recommend. I purchased the steel version, as a few additional ounces of weight don't make a difference to me. The manufacturer thoughtfully included two precision ground pins that you can use to verify whether the groove milled into the side of the receiver conforms to mil-spec standards, thus ensuring a stable mounting point. As long as you follow the instructions precisely, you should have no difficulty installing the mount, unless your receiver is out of spec. It's worth noting that you will require a butt stock cheek riser to use this mount with any scope, as the standard stocks are intended for use with iron sights. The quality of the mount is exceptional, and you can trust that it will perform reliably over time.
Don't waste your time with anything else
Look no further than this mount - it is undoubtedly the best of the best for an M1A. Those quick-detach mounts lose zero every time you clean your rifle. With this mount secured to the rifle itself, it remains rock solid and holds zero all the time. However, there is one warning to be aware of: if you run a Sage EBR chassis, you'll need to get a modified version where the front three rails are removed. Sadlak offers this service, or you can purchase a modified version directly from them. Alternatively, you can opt for a modified top cover for the EBR, but I chose to keep the chassis intact. The Sadlak customer service is what prompted me to write this review. I've never encountered better service from any vendor. They were immediately responsive, and when I realized the Sage EBR issue (my mistake), they rectified the problem at no cost. Not only is this mount perfectly machined, but they also back it up 100%. They followed up with me several times to ensure that the mount installed correctly and performed as expected. In summary, you cannot go wrong with this product. It's an exceptional mount that is well worth the investment, and the customer service is unparalleled.
So much better than the SA 4th gen mount. This will let you see what accuracy you're gun is capable of.
If you're seeking a reliable scope mount that supports the accuracy of your M1A rifle, then your search ends here. The SA 4th generation mount doesn't compare to this one. Before installing this mount on your rifle, it's advisable to thoroughly read the instructions. While I initially skimmed through them (who needs instructions, right?), I had some difficulty with the first installation by tightening the forward screw too much. The forward screw should only come in contact with the front part of the receiver to stabilize the mount. The side bolt and cam-lock washer, along with the 3 set screws for dovetail insert in the stripper clip guide, hold everything in place. The front set screw (inside the Picatinny rail on the barrel end of the mount) braces the front of the mount like a tripod. Avoid overtightening the forward set screw; just tighten it 1/4 turn after it makes contact with the receiver. This mount is incredibly functional, and it comes with a one-time use lock tight to ensure that none of the bolts or screws back out. I've fired around 100 rounds through my SOCOM 16 using this mount, and nothing has moved or come loose. I'm thrilled to have a full-sized scope on my M1A, as opposed to iron sights or a scout type scope. Now that I've proven that I have a sub-1" gun at 100 yards, it's an amazing feeling.

The mount fit perfectly on my M1A Scout and I had no issues at all as I have heard other mounts out there have some issues with getting them to fit right. Sadlak is suppose to be the best and it worked well for m.
