"I use this scope on a 98 Mauser 8mm. I built my own mount using the flip up sight bracket, used the rings that came with the scope. Gun is still original. Worked out good. I plan to use this type of scope on other 98's and shotguns. Fair price."

I want to give NcStar a fair shake. I mounted one of these on my Taurus Tracker 17HMR. The view is very clear; the zoom is stiff but works fine. It zeroed quickly and is holding zero. If this changes I will repost. 2x is excellent for up to 25yds, 4x for 50yds and beyond. You lose eye relief with magnification. This scope has plenty of relief though. At 7x you would be holding the handgun approx 12" away. The scope rings leave a bit to be desired, but they are holding fine. Its not a wrong entry level scope but it looks funny on the Tracker because of its size. It would look more at home on my Raging Hornet with the 10" barrel. The function is 100%.

I've got this mounted on my Ruger GSR and have had zero issues. At one point, I zeroed it at 200 yards in Georgia, several months later moved to a desert in California, took it out in a completely different environment, and it held zero. I'm not the guy that goes out shooting all the time, but over time I've fired hundreds of rounds with zero issues. It's pretty bare-bones, but it gets the job done. I've seen a lot of bad reviews, and my experiences have been the opposite, so I think this is likely a product that's hit or miss, so hopefully, you get a good one if you buy it!

I HAVE HAD 3 OF THESE SCOPES AND HAVE 2 NOW; I THINK THEY ARE GREAT FOR THE PRICE. I'VE OWNED SCOPES COSTING 4 TIMES AS MUCH W A NAME BRAND ON IT, BUT THIS NCSTAR HAS DONE A BETTER JOB AFTER USING ALL THE OTHERS. DALTON

I put this on my 8mm Mauser for a scout scope. I was a little skeptical about using it from other reviews, but I have put a lot of full power loads through that rifle and it is still holding zero very well, very clear and sharp the illuminated crosshairs are a bonus. A good bang for the buck!

This little scope has held up good with the recoil of my .44 magnum. I never had a problem with it, very clear, and good for low-light conditions. Excellent price, would recommend to anyone.
