Mesa Tactical SureShell Mossberg 930 Side Saddle - Polymer (6-Shell, 12-GA)
This SureShell Polymer Carrier system, available in a six shell configuration, features shell holders injection molded from glass filled polymer, secured to the receiver by a lightweight aluminum back plate with brass threaded inserts. The new SureShell Polymer Carrier also includes an innovative dual rubber friction system that reliably holds shotshells in place. Models are available with and without integral Picatinny rails for mounting optics.
The principle difference between one model of SureShell and another, aside from capacity, is the light-weight aluminum backing plate, which is designed to mount the carrier assembly on a particular model of shotgun. Side-mount Mesa Tactical SureShell shotshell carriers for Mossberg , Remington and Benelli M1 shotguns use the trigger group pin holes to secure the assemblies to the weapon; the Benelli M2 Tactical, Benelli M4/M1014, Benelli SuperNova Tactical and some Mossberg 500/590 versions take advantage of the factory-tapped rail mounting holes in the tops of these shotguns and include integrated Pictanny optics mounting rails; another version with an integrated rail is the saddle-mount design for Remington.

The side mount system of our shotgun SureShell polymer shotshell carriers for the Mossberg 500/590 substitutes two custom-machined steel Chicago screws for the trigger pin. At the front of the mounting plate, custom retaining steel hardware is used with an elongated extractor screw and a machined key hole in the plate. The Mossberg 930 mounting system is similar, except it uses two sets of Chicago screws in place of the two trigger pins. The mounting plate was designed not to obscure the receiver serial number to make it easier for armorers to inventory their weapons.
SureShell polymer shotshell carriers for the Mossberg fit on the left side of the receiver only. You must use a tactical forend that does not significantly overlap the receiver, or a factory forend that is cut down appropriately. SureFire forends will work fine with no alterations.

Customer Ratings & Reviews
It serves it’s purpose
I use this on a Benelli M4. The overall concept is great! Having an extra 6 rounds of slug or 00 buck right there on the shotgun helps with the speed of reloading. Mesa Tactical makes great Benelli M4 Accessories. I definitely recommend this this one.
Great mossberg 930 side saddle
Very nice. I put one on a mossberg JM pro. I feel the 6 round version is the best size . Holds cartridges tight during recoil. It does make cleaning more timely as the receiver pins are replaced with Chicago screws , but it eliminates pin walk . I would've given five stars except for the following . I hate the tubing friction retention idea ( my 28 year old original sidesaddle did not have this and never failed ). However, mesa will replace them for life free of charge.
