Magpul MBUS Sight – Front
If you are looking for a low-cost back-up AR-15 sight then you are in the right place. The Magpul MBUS back-up front sight is made out of color molding injected polymer material, which makes it both very durable and low-price. Don't think that the low price means low quality! Any product bearing the Magpul name is always top of the notch design and uses only the hardiest of materials.
The spring loaded flip up will stay erect thanks to the spring and detent pressure, but it can also be easily closed with pressure when need to avoid any damage to the sight. It is extremely easy to flip up the sight from both sides and from pressing the top, making it just as handy for left and right handed operators. The detent knob will help you adjust the windage of the sight to your liking. Protective wings make sure your flip up apertures are safe from any damage.
The sight comes in four different colors: olive drab, green foliage, dark earth and black. The Magpul MBUS can be easily adjusted onto your military standard 1913 Piccatiny rail and the STANAG 4694.

Front MBUS must be mounted to a railed fore end on the same plane as the receiver rail. Because of this the sight is not compatible with the MOE Handguard.

Works great, easy to install, and use. I can imagine this sight breaking if severely abused, but it seems pretty robust. The spring is secure, and it flips the sight up positively. I consider the Magpul MBUS sights the best backup sights you can buy without going to the aluminum varieties. If you purchase polymer sights and don't buy these, you're probably wasting your money.

I mounted these Magpul backup sights to a small pistol caliber carbine that wasn't going to see heavy use. The sights attach solid, flip-up with on finger push, and have positive adjustments. They hold zero and change impact consistent with adjustments. The front view comes with an adjustment tool, which is a plus. If there were one negative, it would be that they are polymer constructed, and I haven't beat these up hard enough to say if they would hold up to massive abuse. For inexpensive BUIS solutions, set about the price of a single Troy sight, they work as advertised. I would purchase again for use with range or lite duty rifles until I've beaten them up a little to see about the durability.

My view came with an adjusting key down in the bag, and it fits the front sight post perfect. Its adjustment is the best I have found on all my other AR front sights, positive clicks adjusted in zero with no problems. It is a low profile, and I had no problem. When you push the middle area when the sight is laid down, it pops up to the same position time after time.

I love my Magpul mbus front sight, I own two. One on each of my uppers, Best bang for the buck IMHO. Goes well on my rifles, especially considering the low profile I was looking for because I wanted to run a rail on the front. Perfect alignment with my Reflex sight too. (after I adjusted it)

Excellent quality at a reasonable price. This mbus front sight is reliable and mounts to the rail very securely. This mbus sight is made in the USA (don't mistake it for the Magpul PTS sold elsewhere that are made in china). I will buy these every time. Support our American brothers and sisters and our country!

The Magpul MBUS is a strong, cost-effective front AR sight solution. Works with many other rear sights but matches MBUS or MBUS pros. Mounting the sight requires a slip-on fitting from the end of the rail. Remove the cross-bolt, put into position, replace the cross bolt, and tighten. Modify post height to zero. You may want to use a tiny amount of silicone grease at the sides of the catches. Side Note DO NOT use MBUS on gas block rail mount. It will melt eventually.
