Kensight SKS Tritium Sight Post Replacement
Kensight Gun Sights are used as original equipment for many of today's top manufacturers. This Kensight Front Night Sight Post for the SKS is a high quality, drop-in replacement that fits all SKS variants that are equipped with a standard front sight base and screw-in front sight post. The front sight incorporates a self-luminous AmeriGlo Green Tritium Dot of 0.076" Diameter that glows brightly in low light conditions to help draw the shooter's eye to the front post and effectively extends one's shooting time from before dawn until after dusk. Precision Wire-EDM machined from 4140 Chrome Moly Steel, this front post is easy to install and adjust for elevation with an SKS Front Sight Tool (sold separately). Rating reflects a good quality product but I would not recommend. To use the tritium front sight, adjustments must be made in one full turn of the sight. This changes the sight elevation by ~0.030 inches which was about 6 inches at 50 yards. Would be nice if they could make a tritium sight that matches the physical characteristics of the round ball SKS sight.

The sight installs easily and the dot is easy to see. Unfortunately, the dot is only on one side of the sight. I'd have liked it to be on both sides. When adjusting for elevation, I need to turn the sight a full revolution in order to return the dot toward myself. Having the dot on both sides would give me the option to adjust by a half-revolution, and would increase elevation adjustment accuracy.

This sks front sight replacement worked fine; it is just not as luminous as expected, but still much better than the standard peg sight.
