The PEPR mount is designed to provide an excellent cheek weld on a flat-top with either an A2 stock or a standard 6-position. It works well with big or long eye relief scopes when mounted forward, as well as short 4X tactical scopes when mounted at the rear. It offers sufficient space to permanently mount a rear iron backup, but if you use a small, rear-set 4X tactical scope, you'll need to mount the backup forward of the PEPR. Like many others who have commented, I used the non-Picatinny upper clamps. While it is somewhat heavy, I consider it a worthwhile tradeoff as it will not move once adjusted. If you are a mountain hunter who values light weight more than ruggedness, there are other similar one-piece mounts that are noticeably lighter.

I am impressed with the quality of this burris ar pepr mount. I initially tried a low-cost mount, but this one far surpasses it in terms of durability. While it is a weighty mount, it is exceedingly sturdy. I appreciate that it comes with two sets of ring tops - one that is plain and another with an accessory rail. Additionally, the nuts at the rail mount are captive, so there is no risk of losing them while in the field. It is an exceptional product and well worth the extra expense compared to the competition's cheaply made imports. The only downside is that it does not come in a dark earth color, which would make it even better.

I bought this mount to attach a Vortex Crossfire II 1-4x scope to a flat top AR, which required a 30mm ring. It worked perfectly. This solid, well-made, one-piece mount comes with two sets of upper rings: Picatinny rail or flat, and I chose flat. I had never used a scope on an AR before and experimented with moving the scope and mount back and forth until I found the rail position that provided the best sight picture. Each mount has six screws, which I torqued to 20 inch lbs using a Wheeler FAT wrench set, resulting in a very secure attachment. Although there are other mounts similar to this one on the market, I purchased this one based on its price and was not disappointed. I am very pleased with this mount and my new scope.

I own multiple Burris products, including the FastFire, FastFire II, and now the AR-P.E.P.R. mount. I searched around, did my research, and read many reviews. The mount I wanted cost nearly $200, which was more than I wanted to spend. However, based on my experience with other Burris products, I ordered the P.E.P.R. mount and decided that I could return it if it didn't meet my expectations. Upon receiving the mount and finally getting my hands on it, I must say that many of my concerns about the quality dissipated. The mount is robust, much stronger than I expected, nicely painted, and most importantly, square. Once mounted and properly torqued, I checked the mount again and found that it remained level and square from front to back. A few days later, I went to the range and had no problems with the mount while sighting my scope. The P.E.P.R. mount is mounted on a Remington R25 .308 rifle with a Zeiss Victory Diavari 3-12x56 scope. I am pleased with the quality of the mount, and Burris has once again made me a satisfied customer.

After seeing it mounted with a Burris XTR-14, I was intrigued and decided to give it a try. I'm currently using it in conjunction with my Bushnell Elite Rainguard Riflescope, although I have my sights set on a specific Trijicon Accupoint. It has a nice finish, but it scratches easily with minimal (accidental) effort, which was an unpleasant discovery. For the most part, the construction is well-executed, although I personally prefer traditional hex heads to Torx screws as fasteners. While it's relatively easy to use, I don't see much advantage in having six holding screws per ring. It only adds unnecessary complexity to the scope setup process that four screws and strategically applied Loctite can quickly solve. It mounts quickly and solidly to any flattop black rifle with the proper Picatinny/Weaver rail. While I still require a separate 1/2" riser to optimize the assembly for my own eye comfort (your mileage may vary, of course), I've transferred it between my AR and M&P 15-22 plinker with ease. It certainly makes moving the Bushnell from one rifle to another effortless, although I don't see much benefit over appropriately configured individual rings.

This tactical scope mount is likely the most cost-effective option available. I believe this because of the outstanding features it possesses. Firstly, it offers the choice of a Picatinny or smooth-style top mount based on personal preference. Secondly, there are six torque screws holding each clamp in place, which I found to be advantageous compared to other reviewers who prefer fewer screws. Using Loctite on scope screws is unreliable in my experience, so I tighten the six screws to an even 10lbs torque each. With this method, the scope remains securely in place, regardless of the amount of recoil, and the odds of losing zero are negligible even if one screw becomes loose. Contrast that with a two-screw mount held on by Loctite. Thirdly, the two nuts that attach the mount to the rail are more than adequate to secure everything in place during shooting, yet can be easily removed when you want to detach the scope. The only drawback to this product that I've noticed is its weight. It's substantially heavier than a simple ring-type mount, but considering it's designed for running and gunning, I doubt anyone seeking a tactical scope mount would consider that a disadvantage.

The burris pepr 30mm is quite impressive, particularly the railed top scope rings. However, to overcome the adjustment towers, a relatively large red dot is necessary, which can defeat the purpose. I have mounted a 1-4x scope onto my Ruger MPR using this item, and it is incredibly sturdy. Installing it was a breeze, although I didn't opt for the QD version even though I was considering it. My reasoning was that since there is no illumination, and once the scope is dialed in, there would be no need to switch to iron sights. Therefore, I also decided against adding any backup iron sights to my rifle. This item maintains zero extremely well, even after firing 150 rounds in just two hours during a recent training class. We fired at a rate of 5 times per second and engaged in scenarios where we had to move and shoot, but the item held up nicely. It's also at an excellent height for an AR optic.

Burris is a reputable company known for producing quality products. This burris pepr mount holds zero well even when taking it on and off. It's sturdy and perfect for AR rifles. The price is reasonable compared to the high quality, and any other mount with similar performance would cost much more. Though it's heavy, it's worth it for the performance and function.

The burris pepr 30mm seems okay for the price. It fits well on the rifle as long as you have the right scope tube diameter and follow recommended torque values. However, I bought it knowing it's a budget product and the build quality reflects that. I've only taken it out once so I can't comment on its zero-holding properties yet. My main issue is with the 1913 pic rail ring tops - they are ineffective. The bottom rings are not a problem, but there are only 2 slots of usable rail space, so 3 different T1-style mounting bases I tried would not align correctly on any of the 4 mounting locations due to insufficient rail. As a result, the mount+dot becomes tilted 15 degrees to the left or right, making zeroing the dot pointless, except for the initial distance. Moving forward or backward changes the horizontal POI because the dot emitter is angled horizontally on the weapon.

First of all, the Burris PEPR 30mm is not my favorite AR 15 scope mount. I gave it five stars though for the following reasons. 1) It is well built. Six screws per ring and the screws are long and seem very well made. 2) I love how it has the tactical Picatinny ring cap but also includes the smooth tops. I went with smooth this time, so I have included a picture. 3) I consider this amount to be a "best buy" even though it is not the best out there. My favorite mounts cost 30-115% more. I think that the mount is built more for tactical use and designed more for tactical, low power scopes with an objective lens the same size as the tube. For scopes with a larger objective lens or large knobs, the space between the rings is a little bit too tight... But it works! I have seen some guys complain because they are "made in China." While not my preference, they do seem well made. I bought a couple of cheap Chinese mounts that look similar to mount on some .22 lr AR 15 rifles that I have. I had screws that stripped and the metallurgy was just not right. These, on the other hand, maybe Chinese, but they are very well made.

I use these for all of my AR15's. Some scopes don't need the extra eye relief, but most do, and you never know until you try to mount it. One thing for sure is that you need the extra mounting height that this mount requires, so it's a no brainer for me, you can buy the PEPR and mount virtually any scope on the market that will fit in the rings and not have to worry about it. I buy the 30mm mount and purchase the PRI 1" scope inserts to go with it so I can then use either a 1" or 30mm tube. I wish they would change to a two screw ring cap. The three screws are overkill and entirely tactical and unnecessary, in my opinion. The mounts do come with both Picatinny and smooth ring caps. Best bang for your buck in my mind.
