    Awesome for the price

After receiving a recommendation from someone else, I decided to go with Burris and I couldn't be more pleased with my decision. I was specifically in the market for a lightweight 3x9 scope with illumination, and this model far exceeded anything else I had previously considered. Although the reticle is a bit busy for my needs, it's not a significant issue and doesn't bother me. During my initial trip to the range, I was impressed by how true the change clicks were, which made sighting in on my Patriot Ordnance Renegade Plus quite easy. While I haven't had the chance to use it much yet, I fully expect it to perform just as well as it did during my first outing. Overall, this is an awesome scope and I'm thrilled with my purchase.

    Great Scope for the Price

This was my first time ever mounting and using a scope, which I installed on a Huldra Mark IV EVO. The mounting process was simple, and the sight remained incredibly secure thanks to the twelve screws. During firing, even in semi-auto mode, there was no movement at all. I found that the manual referenced three different scope models and several variants, so it's important to ensure you find the exact match for your needs. This will allow you to determine the polarity of the battery and the location of the switch to control the lighting intensity. Once I figured this out, I was thoroughly impressed with the reticle lighting. The scope was incredibly bright and clear, which made for a highly enjoyable experience. Although it took me around 30 rounds to zero the scope, this is likely due to my limited experience as a beginner. However, once zeroed in, it held its zero remarkably well. Overall, this is an excellent scope, especially for those who are new to using them, and I highly recommend it.

    Versatile Optic

There were several reasons why I ultimately chose this scope for my AR-15. First, it's a great size for the AR platform, has clear optics, finger-adjustable capped turrets, and good eye relief, which are features shared by many scopes on the market. However, what really sold me on this particular scope was the fine, illuminated, ballistic etched reticle with cross-wind compensation dots. This feature makes it easy to locate the crosshairs in low-light or dark environments, and the ballistic plex comes in handy for longer shots at targets that aren't waiting around. However, if I have time, I can still dial in the shot using the turrets like any other tactical optic. I've found that the fine, "floating" illuminated crosshairs make it incredibly easy and fast to acquire the target. Overall, this scope has a wide range of applications and covers most of them effectively, making it a great choice for my needs.

    Great scope

I am pleased with the performance of this scope, which I mounted on my AR 15 varminter, using lake city XM855 ammo, the 5.56mm 62grain FMJ. I found the reticle's bullet drop to be highly accurate for this round, and before purchasing, I had visited Burris' website, where I observed that they had conducted extensive research on various cartridge types to develop a highly functional reticle. While some suggest learning to do the math or opting for a scope with mil dots, I chose this scope because I wanted something that would allow me to quickly shoot at ground hogs in the field without wasting time calculating adjustments or figuring out which mil dot to use for a particular range. By estimating the range of the target, I can blast it with ease, making it equally effective for shooting coyotes due to their size and tendency to move around frequently. Overall, this scope eliminates the need for any complicated calculations, which is especially beneficial when shooting at moving targets such as coyotes, and I find it to be highly effective for my needs.

A few years ago, I installed this exact same scope on my Savage 270, which did not include an illuminated reticle. I was thoroughly impressed with the clarity, brightness, and the Ballistic Plex reticle, which made my decision easy when I had to choose a scope for my 5.56 AR platform. Once again, I selected the 3x9x40 E1, but this time with the added benefit of an illuminated reticle. The illumination feature is outstanding, with the option to turn it off between every setting. Overall, I have great confidence in the longevity and performance of this scope, and I am certain that it will serve me well for many years to come.

    Awesome scope

I currently own four of these scopes mounted on various calibers, and I can confidently say that they all perform exceptionally well. One particular scope has been mounted on my .338 Win Mag since 2004 and I have put roughly 300 rounds through it, yet it has not lost its zero since sighting in. As an avid hunter who ventures into all types of climates, these scopes have never failed me. My brother and I collectively own 11 Burris scopes, all of which maintain their zero, remain clear, and function flawlessly. Although I also own Leupold scopes, the price point of these Burris scopes is unmatched. Even with my 50-year-old vision, I cannot detect any difference in quality compared to the Leupold's 3i's. Overall, the glass quality of these scopes is exceptional.

As a first-time owner of a Burris scope, I wanted to test its performance against my other scopes such as the Bushnell Elite 4500, Weaver Grand Slam, Nikon Monarch 3, and Minox ZX5. Over a few days, I compared them in varying lighting conditions during early morning and late evening hours. While the Burris scope may not be as "bright" as the Weaver or as detailed as the Minox, it comes very close. However, what sets the Burris apart, in my opinion, is its superior color contrast compared to the others. This is a feature that I particularly prefer. Additionally, the main reason I purchased the E1 illuminated scope was for its reticle, which I found to be superb. The illumination is top-notch and the reticle is among the best for hunting purposes.

    Works perfectly

I acquired this scope with the specific purpose of hunting hogs during nighttime hours. My previous scopes had an issue where the reticle would disappear when pointed at a black hog. However, with the illuminated reticle feature on this Burris scope, this problem has been remedied. As someone who enjoys wild pork and mainly hunts hogs for their meat, precise shot placement is crucial for instant, one-shot kills. I have found that the lowest setting on the adjustable reticle is ideal as it provides clear visibility, allowing me to take accurate shots with ease.
