With 45 years of shooting experience, I've used a variety of brands, including Nikon and Weaver for the first ten years, and then exclusively Leupold up to a Mk5 56MM benchrest model. However, when I started shooting at longer distances beyond 600 and 1000 yards, I needed a scope with better performance. That's when I discovered the Nightforce Competition 15-55x52 riflescope and it has been the absolute best for me. The image quality is incredibly clear, the zero is repeatable, and it can be easily calibrated to work with your ballistic programs. A neat trick is to adjust the magnification to match your wind call (for mild steady wind), which enhances accuracy even further.

As a F-Class shooter, I highly recommend the Nightforce Competition 15-55x52 riflescope for competition use. The 1/8 minute adjustments are particularly helpful at distances between 600-1000 yards. The clarity of the scope is excellent and I typically shoot at 40X, where the crosshair divisions are in minutes of angle. The scope is also lightweight, allowing me to add extra weight to the barrel for improved stability. In my experience, this is the best scope I've ever used for competitive shooting.

The Nightforce Competition 15-55x52 riflescope is an excellent option for serious competitors. Its exceptional resolving power is achieved through the combination of ED glass and lens coatings, which have been refined over 20 years of expert construction. Unlike other optics that only offer clarity in certain magnification ranges, the Nightforce Competition offers outstanding clarity at all magnification levels. The riflescope comes with two fast and easy-to-read windage caps, allowing you to customize it to your shooting style. The riflescope also features ED glass for superb color contrast correction and high resolution, with a remarkable 92% light transmission rate and a fast-focus European-style eyepiece. At 27.8 ounces, the riflescope is lightweight, making it 24% lighter than the 12-42 x 56 Benchrest and over 20% lighter than the previous 12-42 x 56 NXS Rifle Scopes. In addition, the riflescope has a side parallax adjustment from 25 yards to infinity, Hi-Speed windage and elevation adjustments of .125 MOA with ZeroStop, and a total elevation travel of 55 MOA and windage travel of 50 MOA, with each rotation providing 10 MOA of adjustment. The riflescope comes equipped with ZeroStop and Hi-Speed adjustments as standard equipment. Surprised I'm the first to provide feedback on this! I purchased the Competition model after I discussed its clarity, abilities, and use in mid and long-range matches with the National Champion shooter. I decided to sell my NF Benchrest 12x42 2DD to help fund my purchase - which was a great scope as well. I mounted it on my Barnard LR 284 and performed a series of ladder tests to ensure its tracking and repeatability. It was ON track up and down the ladder (except for the occasional pilot/trigger error). I now have it dialed in and can "see" the clarity that set this one apart. It is not a hunting scope due to specific eye relief; however, in F-Open or FTR, it should perform very well, and hope to up my scores with a "much better" target sight view. I highly recommended like all Nightforce.

I use this scope on a Vudoo V22 for target only shooting. I have it sighted in at 100 yards, and the combination (rifle/scope) is allowing me to shoot less than 1 MOA groups at this distance. The only drawback is my eyesight. I am 73 and developing cataracts. After the first couple of shots darken the bullseye I lose the reticle since it is so fine. This is no fault of the scope but rather my eyesight.

I only own a few scopes but the Nightforce Competition 15-55x52mm is by far one of the best, the reticle is very fine at long distances, well worth the money!!!! Also, a high set of rings is required for mounting

I purchased this product from another source only at the time I wanted it because these guys were out. That being said, they are really nice glass, downside it really picks up the mirage on warm days, so the target 200yds and beyond looks like its waving at you, lol. Not disappointed at all !!!! VERY CLEAR GLASS. Mounted on REM 700, 300win mag Sendero II, TACK DRIVER, handloaded to C.O.A.L., Hornady 208grn ELD-M, so far so good!!!

Purchased this scope over a year ago, mounted it on a 6.5 Creedmore build I was setting up for the 1k yard range. The clarity is awesome; the MOA adjustments are on the money, the fine reticle for long-range doesn't cover up the target no matter how small, I have no complaints about this scope, this was my first NightForce, and it wont be my last.

Mounted on custom 338 Lapua magnum. Still tracks accurately after 500 rounds. fcr 1 reticle and clarity are excellent and easy to use so far to 1850 yards.

If you need a high magnification scope for precision target shooting, this Night Force will not disappoint. Windage and Elevation adjustments of 1/8 MOA and ultra-fine FCR1 reticle might not be the best for field use, but for F class/F/TR or Benchrest, it would be tough to outgrow this scope. The fast focus feature is a great feature that is a nice change from the NXS scopes. The eye box is generous. While it is impractical to offer a consumer-level optic with high magnification and 100% clarity, this scope is about as close as you will find.

Mounted this scope on my 1000 yard 6.5 Creedmoor, its clear, WAY CLEAR, the reticle is sized right, it comes with a screw-on aluminum lens covers and is second focal plane. When I compare it to my Burris Scope (Verosity 8x40-50 F-class) its twice as clear at twice the magnification, but its also twice the price. if you need a scope for distance I don't think you can beat this one.

This Nightforce Competition 15-55x52mm is my best scope. Totally outstanding, I can see bullet holes at 600 yards when the mirage is ok. I also love the fine lines on the reticle; you can range targets very easily. Parallax adjustment is a little touchy at 30x and higher when you are at 100 yards or closer, no big deal. The price tag is expensive but is worth the money. This are some of the other scopes I own, Nightforce benchrest 12-42x56, vortex viper 6.5-20x50 vortex viper pst 6-24x50.
