I am blown away by the quality of the glass in the NX8 optic. It makes my other optics appear inferior. I paired it with a Scaler Works mount on my SCAR 17 and added a 45-degree red dot for an unbeatable setup. The clarity of the glass is truly remarkable, making me consider upgrading the optics on other firearms in my collection. I may have to put in some extra hours at work to fund my new obsession.

The ATACR 1-8x24 riflescope is a fantastic investment, despite being pricier than the 4-16x ATACR. The glass quality is unparalleled, and the illumination is top-notch. The adjustments are the best the reviewer has ever experienced, and zeroing in was a breeze. The heavy-duty sound and feel of the illumination knob provides a sense of owning a high-end product. The illumination is the best of any manufacturer, even for those with astigmatism (as long as not using the bright setting at night). The reticle was a concern initially, but after using it, the reviewer loves it and finds the illumination works well with it. The scope performs exceptionally well at 8x, functioning like an amazing red dot at 1x. The ATACR has a large and easy eyebox when magnified, with a consistent eyebox across the magnification range. The reviewer prefers the ATACR over the Razor, and finds its performance at range to be incredible. The only downside is the lack of green illumination, but the scope still deserves a solid 5 stars or more. Some reviews may claim the scope is bulky or heavy, but the reviewer doesn't agree and finds it easy to maneuver with a sling. The reviewer plans to compete in 2-gun using this scope and is excited for it.

Simply excellent. Can hold 1 MOA groups @ 8 power at 200 yds and superbly quick using red dot @ <100 yds. I have mounted on 308 POF revolution as my go-to rifle. Best optical solution for short range and intermediate use that there is.

Use this optic at the range and for personal defense. The reticle is great and works well for what I am using it for.

The ATACR 1-8x24 lpvo is a superb optic for an AR platform gun. The optical quality, fit and finish are top drawer. You will not be disappointed by the function or looks of this optic. So what differentiates the ATACR from the competition? The most noticeable difference is scope weight. The ATACR is substantially lighter even after adding a suitable mount (my ATACR did not come with a packaged mount, I am using a Scalarworks Leap and am very happy with the combo). As far as a reticle go there are things to like about every reticle. The ATACR has either a milrad or MOA option, something for nearly everyone. Price aside, if Nightforce’s goal was to achieve a high-end precision 1-8 lpvo that is (dare say) the lightest in class-boom. Job done!

Running this Atacr 1-8x24 f1 in a Larue 1.93 SPR mount on a PWS 16" 7.62 and think it's an excellent balance for CQB distance out to anything you could reasonably target ID. Great features and as daylight bright as any Aimpoint RDS. The front focal plane is excellent at 1x. You have an RDS equivalent and then, under magnification, a very workable reticle with just enough information for holding in the reticle without being too busy. Glass quality is noticeable compared to other good optics. It's not cheap, but the build quality is evident.

I have 2 of these and it just doesn’t get any better than this optic for LVPO. It’s a true professional optic for CQB then out to 800 yards. Selling my other LPVO and buying a third.
