The SureShell Polymer Carrier system is available in a six-shell configuration and features shell holders made of glass-filled polymer that are securely attached to the receiver with a lightweight aluminum back plate and brass threaded inserts. This new system also includes a dual rubber friction system for holding shotshells in place.

The saddle rails are made of aircraft-grade 6061-T6 aluminum and feature Picatinny rails that are machined to mil-spec standards, resulting in a durable, non-glare matte finish. The basic saddle rail design allows for easy mounting of optical sights, while a second version includes an additional Mesa Tactical six-shell SureShell polymer shotshell carrier on the left side of the receiver. Both versions meet MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny specifications and can be installed without any gunsmithing. These saddle rails provide an ideal solution for adding optical sights and SureShell shotshell carriers to Remington shotguns equipped with Mesa Tactical's LEO telescoping stock and pistol grip system.

The main difference between different models of SureShell carriers is the aluminum back plate, which is designed to mount the carrier assembly on specific shotgun models. Side-mount SureShell shotshell carriers for Mossberg, Remington, and Benelli M1 shotguns use the trigger group pin holes for secure attachment, while Benelli M2 Tactical, Benelli M4/M1014, Benelli SuperNova Tactical, and some Mossberg 500/590 versions utilize the factory-tapped rail mounting holes and include integrated Picatinny optics mounting rails. Another option is the saddle-mount design with an integrated rail for Remington shotguns.
