The EGW Vortex Venom Glock Mount are meant to be installed from the left to the right. The dovetail has a progressive taper to allow for easier install.
Simply remove the rear sight on your gun and replace it with our mount in order to mount your Vortex Viper/Venom, Burris FastFire, or Docter red-dot sight. No alterations are required. You can take our mount off and replace your rear sight at any time. Mounting hardware included.
Installation Instructions
- Remove the rear sight*
- Install the EGW Sight Mount in the dovetail
- Tighten set screw (if applicable)
- Place the red dot sight on the EGW Sight Mount
(placing a small piece of paper between the red dot sight and the sight mount will make for easier removal and will keep Loctite off of the red dot sight.)
- Apply blue Loctite to the provided mounting screws
- Torque mounting screws to 15in/lbs
2 Button Head Cap Screws - Provided for Vortex Viper and Vortex Venom Sights
2 Flat Head Cap Screws - Provided for Burris FastFire and Docter Sights
The screws that are included with this mount require a 5/64'' allen wrench for installation.
Modification of your firearm may nullify the manufacturer's warranty.
This product should be installed and checked by a qualified gunsmith.

Bought this Glock red dot sight mount before I jumped into having my slide milled out for red dot sight. Milling costs around 200-250 in my area, so before I committed to having this done, I wanted to be sure that moving to a red dot sight (Vortex Viper), this was the way I wanted to go. It's about 3/8ths of an inch higher (0ver the bore) than what the sight would be if you have your slide milled out, BUT you can get the idea of what a red dot is like, and you are only out the cost of this mount and your transparency in intact.

This Vortex Venom Glock mount is AMAZING! Single-piece, was definitely hard to get in, even with a sight pusher, and also has a set screw! This mount has about 400 rounds through it, and its still functioning flawlessly!

I didn’t have a lot of trouble mounting this on my Glock 35 slide. The dovetail is tight, and I had to use a brass punch to drive it in. Make sure to drive it from the left side to the right side. It is rock solid. I mounted a Vortex Venom to it quickly and sighted the pistol in. I have shot a few hundred rounds of .40 and 9mm through it and have not had to adjust the sight.

This vortex venom Glock mount is very tight and firm fit when installed. Some may find it difficult without the right tools, as it is designed as a press-fit installation. I imagine a regular sight pusher, even one that is Glock-specific will not work. Installed mine using an industrial-grade smooth-jawed vise to hold the slide. Started it into the dovetail with moderate taps with a rubber-tipped mallet when it would go no farther used 12oz hammer on a hardwood block until I had it centered on the slide — no damage to the finish of the mount. I've used EGW mounts on 2 CZ's and a Springfield 1911-A1 all fit ideally, but this Glock mount is exceptional in that you couldn't even see daylight between the slide and the mount on all mating surfaces. Very tight tolerances everywhere. Very pleased with this purchase.

This vortex venom Glock mount os worth every bit money. Fits exceptionally tight in the dovetail. Admire the fact it's one piece. Set screw ensures it doesn't budge. No problems with 100 rounds through a Glock 26 with a vortex venom on top.

Outstanding mounting platform for my Sightmark Mini-Shot. Exceptional dovetail fit and finish. Used the cheaper aluminum two-piece mount, and they failed in the first 50 rounds. Best to install with a sight pusher, very snug fit, which is excellent. Fired 400 shots and perfect performance.

Used this EGW Red dot part to mount a vortex viper on a Glock 19. It took some effort, but I was able to install without a sight pusher. I just used a hammer and a punch.
