The mounting screws require a 5/64" wrench and the set screws (when applicable) require a 1/16" wrench.

*All ADE mounts require 6-32 x 3/8" screws.

Please note: We have found that some red dots commonly found on Amazon such as the UTG and ADE may not hold the same tolerances as the red dots that this mount was initially created to work with. These dots may not fit properly on the posts on the plate. We would recommend either sending the red dot back for an exchange to whichever seller you purchased it from, or open up the holes in the bottom of the red dot to accommodate the pins.

Evolution Gun Works red dot sights are meant to be installed from the left to the right (with the muzzle facing forward). The dovetail has a progressive taper to allow for easier install.

Simply remove the rear sight on your gun and replace it with our mount in order to mount your Vortex Viper/Venom, Burris FastFire, or Docter red-dot sight. You can take our mount off and replace your rear sight at any time. Mounting hardware included.

Installation Instructions
- Remove the rear sight*
- Install the EGW Sight Mount in the dovetail
- Tighten set screw (if applicable)
- Place the red dot sight on the EGW Sight Mount
(placing a small piece of paper between the red dot sight and the sight mount will make for easier removal and will keep Loctite off of the red dot sight.)
- Apply blue Loctite to the provided mounting screws
- Torque mounting screws to 15in/lbs

The screws that are included with this mount require a 5/64'' allen wrench for installation.

I initially thought the sight mount would seamlessly replace the iron sights, as the latter easily slide out with finger pressure after loosening a set screw. Observing a set screw on the EGW sight base, I assumed it would fit similarly. However, I discovered that the set screw on the EGW base doesn't align with the depression on the slide. Additionally, fitting the base into the dovetail cut was quite snug. I ended up sanding the base's bottom until the surface coating was removed, and then I managed to insert the base using a plastic-faced hammer. This installation process is typical for an EGW base, but I had hoped for an easier installation and removal process to switch between dot sight and iron sights effortlessly. It seems I won't be using the 52 with iron sights in this setup, but that's a result of my not verifying beforehand. On the bright side, the mount is sturdy, and with just an initial eyeball centering, I was hitting the 6 ring at 4 o'clock. A few adjustments later, and I landed in the 10 ring. The mount's compatibility with my Vortex red dot was perfect, as expected. This is my third EGW sight base, and they've consistently been well-crafted and required minimal fitting. It took about 10 minutes in total, a worthwhile investment for a very solid mount.

This mount is solidly constructed and required some fitting to properly align with the factory dovetail, which is typical. Attaching a Vortex Venom to it was hassle-free. However, I did encounter a slight issue: it needed a 1-degree shim to achieve accurate sighting at 25 yards. This seems to be more related to the gun's build rather than an issue with the mount itself.

I hadn't initially considered the need for this, but the M52 I bought had its rear sight modified for elevation only by a previous owner whose expertise clearly fell short of their intentions. The idea of using a red dot for an effective sighting system hadn't crossed my mind, but thankfully, EGW provided the perfect solution. The mount is excellently finished, and like all sight dovetails I've encountered, it's slightly oversized – a point some might critique, but in my experience, the best fit is always achieved by custom fitting the mount to your specific firearm. Installation was straightforward, and it securely holds the Vortex Red Dot without any issues. Kudos to EGW for crafting such a well-made product!

The mount was tuff sliding into the dovetail on the slide. Had to be done with a square type sight slide mounting jig. Which applies pressure to the side of the mount pushing it through the dovetail. Forget about tapping it with a brass hammer. But got it done. Very nice.
