    Burris XTR II 5-25x50mm Riflescope

The XTR II 5-25x50 mm riflescope boasts a 5-times zoom system and 25% thicker tube construction compared to the original XTR Riflescope. This high-magnification scope features a front focal plane reticle design, which adjusts the reticle size proportionally as magnification is increased or decreased, ensuring accurate and proportional trajectory compensation at any power setting. This type of reticle design is commonly known as first focal plane or FFP. The scope also includes precision adjustment knobs that match the dimensions of the reticle and Zero Click Stop technology for ease of use. The Hi-Lume multi-coated lenses optimize target resolution, contrast, and low-light performance. All internal assemblies are triple spring-tensioned for absolute shockproofing, even under severe recoil, and vibration resistant, even on extended vehicular patrols.

    Burris XTR II 5-25x50mm Overview

The Burris XTR II is a rifle scope that is designed for long-range shooting. It has been engineered to deliver the best possible performance, even in the most challenging shooting environments.

The scope comes in a sleek, matte-black finish that looks good on any rifle. It has been built with a 34mm tube that is made from aircraft-grade aluminum, which makes it strong and durable. The tube is filled with nitrogen to make it fog proof, and it is also sealed to make it waterproof.

One of the standout features of the Burris XTR II is its reticle. It has a first focal plane reticle that is designed to remain in proportion to the target regardless of the magnification level. This means that the shooter can zoom in and out without having to adjust the reticle, which makes it easier to take accurate shots at different ranges.

The reticle is illuminated with eleven different brightness settings, which means that it can be used in low light conditions. The illumination can be turned off completely, which saves battery life.

The scope has a magnification range of 5-25x, which makes it suitable for long-range shooting. It also has a 50mm objective lens, which allows for a wide field of view. The lens is made from high-quality glass that is coated to reduce glare and provide a clear image.

The Burris XTR II has been designed with a side focus parallax adjustment, which makes it easy to focus on targets at different ranges. The adjustment knob is located on the left side of the scope, which makes it easy to access and use.

Another great feature of the Burris XTR II is its zero stop elevation turret. This feature allows the shooter to easily return the scope to zero after making adjustments for windage and elevation. The turret has a tactile click system that provides audible feedback, so the shooter can feel and hear the adjustments as they are made.

In conclusion, the Burris XTR II is a high-quality rifle scope that is designed for long-range shooting. It has a durable construction, a clear and bright reticle, and a range of features that make it easy to use. If you are looking for a reliable and accurate scope for your rifle, the Burris XTR II is definitely worth considering.

I Don't Think you Will Be Disappointed

As a relative beginner to serious shooting, this is my first "serious" scope. I primarily shoot longer range targets and initially intended to purchase the latest variation of the Vortex PST Gen II 5-25x FFP. However, I decided to go with the Burris XTR II instead, as it is regarded as a cut above other Burris scopes and has similar features to the Steiner 5-25x 56mm (which shares the same parent company as Burris). The fit and finish are great and I mounted it with 6 screw 34mm Weaver rings. The scope is illuminated, but I don't find it useful for my shooting needs. The adjustments are crisp and tactile, with a hard zero for elevation. The scope holds zero and returns to zero with no issues, and I plan to test it further by making more extreme adjustments. So far, the system and shooter are consistently 1/2 MOA and improving. I find the scope clear and bright, but I can't compare it to other scopes as I am still new to serious shooting. I encourage you to give the Burris XTR II a chance.

This is an excellent scope with precise tracking that rivals those twice its price. I box-tested the scope on a 10 mill target and it was never off by even a 1/10 of a mill on any of the 10 dots. I took it out to 1100 yards on top of my Ruger Precision in 6mm, dialed the range, and it was dead on. I then dialed it back to zero and used the SCR reticle to hold over, and it was still dead on. Whether you're on a budget or not, this is a fantastic scope.

Looking for serious glass? This is it. Don’t waste any more money

Whether you're a novice shooter, competing, in special operations, or just looking to have some fun, the Burris XRT is the perfect glass for you. Many people believe that big-name brands like US Optics are better, but that's not necessarily true, as they may have just secured a contract. Burris offers six models of the XRT, so you can get amazing craftsmanship and pick the reticle and turrets that suit you best. As a former operator, I used the military's SR25 as I had no other choice, but I built my own rifle and mounted the Burris XRT on top. I can shoot 1000 meter shots with it, so don't waste your money on other brands. I hope you find this information useful.

    Better Than Just “Good”

Comparing it to Schmidt & Bender which is a 9.9, the Burris scope is a solid 9. Although I initially had lower expectations, I was pleasantly surprised by its performance. The clicks are accurate and the clarity of the glass is almost as good as my Schmidt & Bender scope of the same power. I tested both scopes side by side at different ranges and the difference was barely noticeable. The Burris scope has great light gathering ability and the clicks are so accurate that I only needed 2 shots to sight in my .338. The lighted reticle is also excellent, but I don't plan on using it for my type of shooting. Overall, this scope beats all my other scopes except for my 5-25x56 Schmidt & Bender and is better than my Vortex Viper, Zeiss, and Leupold scopes in every aspect. Plus, it costs less than a third of my Schmidt & Bender. I highly recommend this scope, especially with Burris' lifetime warranty that guarantees 100% satisfaction.

The scope features a 5-times zoom system, thicker tube construction than its predecessor, a front focal plane reticle design that adjusts the reticle size proportionally with magnification, and Hi-Lume multi-coated lenses. The reviewer notes that the scope provides exceptional clarity, with the reticle remaining proportional regardless of the magnification level. The scope also includes precision adjustment knobs and Zero Click Stop technology, and is shockproof and vibration-resistant. The reviewer concludes that the Burris XTR II is a high-quality riflescope worth considering for long-range shooting.

Nice but lighter scopes out there...

I have a great appreciation for Burris products, as I have found them to be of high quality. However, I found this particular scope to be rather heavy, so I decided to return it and purchase a Leupold VX-6 4-24x52, which is much lighter. Despite this, I must say that Burris products have exceptional clarity, and I own several other Burris scopes that have impressed me with their performance.
