Reduces recoil by a lot. Exactly what percentage I'm not sure but it does do a better job than a std muzzle brake. If you aren't on a budget and want the best this is it.

The quality is very good and works just as advertised. I installed the M4-72 on my AR in 6.8 SPCII with an 18 inch barrel. The recoil was reduced greatly over the A-2 Birdcage that was on it, the only drawback is the muzzle back blast, even with foam ear plugs it was loud. Don't think I'll use this muzzle device for hunting just do some target work. I think I'm going to order a EFAB 30 Cal Hybrid device and give that a try, already have the Accuwasher set less one washer #2 that I used.

Works suprisingly well, gun barely moves so makes a follow up shot super easy. I took 1 star because of the amount of concussion wasnt mentioned in the description. Its not horrible, but it is noticeable enough that I wouldve like to have known before hand.

I ran 30 rounds through my Ruger 18" barreled Predator model in .308, a very light weight rifle, after 30 rounds on the bench my shoulder became a little sensitive, I was breaking in the barrel before mounting the M4-72 compensator. After the break in I installed the M4-72 by hand just to feel the difference, fired 3 rounds. I was very pleased as the recoil was less than half, was comfortable to shoot even after firing the 30 rounds beforehand. I have since installed it properly and the reduction of recoil and muzzle jump are awesome. Great product!

I was looking for a Muzzle Break for a New light weight .308 bolt-action rifle. I wanted to keep it light for easy carry but didn't want the extra recoil. I researched very inexpensive to very expensive breaks. Watched some YouTube Videos on break comparisons. The M4-72 by Precision Armament fit the bill, test showed a reduction of 65% in recoil of a 7.62 rifle using 179 gr. bolt tail ammo by Gorilla ammo. Precision Armament specs say a reduction of recoil of 65% to 75% depending on the bullet your using. Comparing felt recoil myself at the range, I would fire 5 rounds of 150 gr FMJ bare muzzle without the M4-72 and then installed the M4-72 hand tight and fired 5 rounds, felt recoil was greatly reduced by over half. I'm very pleased with this purchase

This muzzle brake is awesome. The percentage of recoil reduction that the manufacturer claims is legit in my opinion.

Work as advertised

I guess this will be a tentative review. I've not shot it yet, but I have it in my possession. If you search for thetruthaboutguns muzzle brake comparison, you'll find a few that have the M4-72. It ALWAYS finishes either first or second. There is no questioning that level of performance. You are buying one of the two most effective brakes out there. The testing shows it works, so there isn't much more to be said, except the quality as-received is excellent. Finish is done well, and the machining looks great as well.
