I am quite impressed with this 10/22 Takedown Stock

I just replaced the factory Ruger 10/22 Takedown stock to the Dark Earth Magpul X-22 stock and was quite impressed in the fit and finish of the new 22 stock. Installation was easy, and it was a bit tight on the tolerances. The tight tolerances is a plus, so it's not a sloppy fit! The only trivial difficulty was in assuming configuration. The instructions said to Convert FROM a Tapered Barrel TO a Bull Barrel nevertheless the stock came already in the Bull Barrel setup. I had to do the translation to the Tapered setup. No Problem it was just a little confusing.

I moved from Multicam factory stock to a hog and after that this Magpul. Material difference is rigidity, match, and ergonomics. Spend the additional 40-50 dollars and purchase the Magpul. 2 barrel channel options- I added a Volquartsen barrel easily Mlok- having another Magpul equipment I fell in the QD and pic railing Cheek riser- Magpul is smart. They made the riser the same as their shotgun stocks, so I dropped from the riser which came with my 590a1. This gives proper alignment with the SWFA 6x and works excellent.
