I wouldn't say I liked it. I'm 6'2" and I think it's a little too short. I bought this because I thought I didn't like the cheek weld on my Luth MBA-1. Turns out I don't like this one. I wanted to, but it's just not for what I needed it for. I wanted a AR fixed stock to go on a DMR, this stock just isn't it. It's perfect for anyone looking for a fixed stock that has determined that the fixed carbine stock is too short. Looking through a red dot or some sort of CQB optic would suit this stock well, but something where you want maximum range or variance in position in the stock wouldn't be my recommendation. I dig the battery compartment. The stock looks good as well. I wish it worked for me.

Typical Magpul quality and fit. this is an excellent replacement piece for an A2 butt stock. Collapsible stocks seem to be the rage but i like the fit and rigidity of a fixed AR stock and it feels perfect as well as makes the weapon look great. Best AR accessories on the market in my opinion.

I've owned a Bushmaster Varmiter sine 2002 and had always wanted a good QD attachment to use w/a 2 point sling instead of the old 3 point sling that was on it for years. I had bought this Magpul AR stock immediately several years ago when it was released in foalige green. I would rate this stock a 5 IF ONLY it had come w/the Magpul type 1 QD insert to make it immediately capable for there MS3,4 slings OR AT LEAST print in the description U will need to purchase w/it. I had called Magpul previous to order to investigate so I wouldn't have make 2 separate orders AND MOST OF ALL SHIPPING COST'S. great stock, simple 1 screw install and now they offer more color options than when I bought mine years ago. if I had another A2 build, this Magpul stock would be my only consideration...

Be sure to note that it DOES NOT come with QD sockets. If you have other MAGPUL stocks, like the STR, you can take off the socket on that model, but the screw will only work on the front hole, not the back hole (screw isn't long enough). The socket kits sold separately will have the correct length screws. If you want QD sockets on both sides of the stock, get the Type 1 and Type 2 kits. You'll need two of each package if you want ambi front and rear QD.

This is a good AR rifle stock, rigid construction. My only complaint is that it is A1 length, shorter than the A2. While that may have tactical advantages, the longer A2 length, I prefer for target shooting, both bench and off-hand.

I have a Magpul moe rifle stock on my AR 15 and my AR 10. Love the weight of it along with the storage to put small scraper and oil in if needed. Can put firing pins, licenses in it, or earbuds in this Magpul stock. I will be buying another one.

Two of my AR-15 rifles have fixed stocks. I bought Magpul moe rifle stock in FDE for both of them. I like the FDE color; the material is less "grabby" than the original and doesn't catch on clothing. The stock is just a little shorter than the original, which means that the length of pull is much better for my girlfriend, who shoots all of my guns. The storage area is both easier to get to than the original stock, and it's a little larger. The stock is lighter in weight than the original, too. Overall, my girlfriend likes the stock better because the material doesn't catch as easily on her clothes. And the LOP means she can shoot with it more easily since her arms are shorter (she's 5'2). I find the shorter length of pull to be more comfortable for me as well. I'm 5'10. A taller person might want to add the thicker Magpul butt pads to increase the LOP. I have a short rail section attached to the bottom of both stocks with a monopod attached to the rail. There is no provision for mounting a monopod on the standard A2 stock. The stock is very durable. I dropped one of my rifles (8 lbs 10 oz) while in a 30-foot sentry tower. It landed on the buttstock after falling about 34 feet. It did not damage the stock at all apart from a scuff on the butt pad. I thought the hinge or the latch on the storage compartment might be damaged, but both are in good shape. I use a QD sling. I bought the QD sling mount inserts for this buttstock. It does not come with them. There are two QD sling mounting points that give you options as to how you want to sling your rifle. Both mounts are available on both sides and can accept the mounting hardware for both sides at the same time. It does have a sling mount you can thread a sling through. But it's rotated 90 degrees from the standard. It appears to be quite robust, though, and won't break from slamming the rifle on the butt to clear a jam or butt stroking it. I have recommended this stock to my friends who have ARs with fixed stocks. I fully expect to get many years of good service out of my rifles and these stocks. They are tough, attractive, well made, comfortable to use, and reliable.

Excellent fit and finish as usual by Magpul. The length of pull felt great on LR-308. I'm 5'11," and it was perfect for me. If you need it a little longer, you could always add a different butt pad. Also, as stated before, if you're converting from a carbine buffer tube (as I was), do not forget the rifle buffer tube, rifle buffer and rifle spring as well since everything is different from the standard carbine setup. And if you were wondering, it does come with the screw to mount it.

I used one of these on a 20" squirrel gun and couldn't be happier. I have a generous storage compartment, and I find it exceptionally aesthetically pleasing. My only complaint is that you need to buy a QD socket separately while the moe SL collapsible stocks have them built-in. Be sure to purchase A2/rifle buffer components, carbine buffer tubes, springs, and weights won't work on this stock.

I Purchased this Magpul AR A1 stock for a new lower build. The quality of the fit and finish are very good. A new bolt is included, which is always nice. The fit to the tube is tight, which gives it a very solid feel. Very satisfied!

Like every other Magpul product, this AR stock exudes quality. I put it on a DPMS 308LR Lite. I wish every "after-market" manufacturer aspired to Magpul's product standards.

I bought this AR Stock for a new lower build. The quality of the Magpul MOE Rifle Stock fit and finish are excellent. A new bolt was in the box which is always nice. The fit to the tube is tight which provides it a very solid feel. Very happy!
