Geissle G2S Trigger - 2 Stage
The Geissele 2 Stage (G2S) was designed to be high quality, the cost-effective option of the SSA. The G2S is a 4.5lb. Non-Adjustable combat trigger that is a precision two-stage trigger and allows precise and accurate trigger control. The G2S is manufactured from the same tool steel as the SSA. Visually, from the outside of the weapon, there is no difference from the SSA, and the feel and reliability are the same. The G2S, however, has a different way of holding the hammer pin in place, there are no laser markings, and the parts are only spot checked for MP.

Smooth aR-15 trigger
Ordered geissle g2s trigger on Wednesday, and it was on my front doorstep on Saturday with standard delivery. Installed trigger with no problems. It was my first time to invest a trigger in an AR15. It is like having a new rifle. The trigger is smooth and breaks clean—daylight and dark difference between this trigger and the stock AR15 trigger. If you want to improve your shooting accuracy, start by getting this trigger, then all the optics and other bells and whistles. The AR trigger is expertly machined with all highly polished mating surfaces. Has the look and feel of a high-quality product. You can't help but be happy with it.
Will put one in every AR I own.
The biggest downside to the Geissle g2s trigger is that I can't just buy one, I need to put it in every AR I own. It installs easily, the same as any standard AR trigger. It comes with some lubricants specifically for the trigger. The research I did said that this is the same as Geissele's more expensive triggers, just made with less strict tolerances, which will be smoothed out with use. It is a little rough at. First, I did some mag dumps and put about 100 rounds down range to smooth out the trigger. After that, it was a dream to shoot. It shot MOA at 200 yards with factory ammo, so the trigger is doing its job. As a bonus, it also bumps fires exceptionally well. Standard AR triggers are hard to bump fire, this one does it without any problems or practice.
Premium Brand/ Value Priced Trigger
Geissle g2s trigger claims to be similar to the SSA except for pin retainage design. I'll agree b/c I have both—significant improvement over a stock AR trigger. If you have an installation pin in your bin of tools, it will help greatly. Well made, well packaged, proper instructions. Geissele offers a complete line of triggers for various needs. Get the one you want, and you'll be glad you did. I tried a Rock River and a Wilson Combat trigger. Both failed to meet expectations. I'll put these Geissele triggers through their paces soon enough.
Excellent Trigger at a Moderate Price
Installed this 2 stage Geissle g2s trigger a few days ago in my M4 carbine. Please keep in mind that I have not been to the range yet to do a full test. But here are a few details: First, the trigger is a little more challenging to install. Most hammers have a J-spring that retains the hammer pin. Accommodating this spring adds cost to the manufacturing process. This trigger uses a hammer that relies on a side-mounted spring clip to retain the hammer pin. Also, this trigger did not come with the short assembly pin that comes with the more expensive triggers. I had one from a previous Geissele install, so I used it to help install this one. Once installed, the first stage is slightly more rough than the more expensive models. Not much, just slightly. The second stage breaks very cleanly, typical Geissele. Overall very pleased. I will test at the range this weekend.
Awesome budget AR trigger
I have purchased this Geissle g2s trigger for builds, and there awesome. Would never go back to the stock mil-spec trigger again. I fully recommended it.
My geissele g2s trigger review
I found my original trigger dragged on release and bought the Giessele G2s unit. Once installed, it didn't pass all the safety tests in my home-built lower. Contacted customer service and sent trigger in. Giessele replaced the Hammer, which was out of specification. I ended up buying a store-bought lower because mine is flawed, and the trigger was installed in the new lower. I had screwed up, and mixed parts and the trigger didn't work as it should. I sent in the lower, and the rep who contacted me very patiently explained the problem and sent the lower back. I corrected my error, and the trigger works wonderfully. Yes, the process was long, but Giessele stayed available and helpful all the way through. Thanks, Giessele!
geissele 2 stage trigger
This is the first two-stage trigger I have ever used, and I really like the way it feels. I had never installed a trigger before and had no trouble putting this one in.
An excellent AR15 trigger, better value
The feel of this Geissle g2s trigger is identical to the venerable Super Semi-Auto trigger for a much more attractive price. If you want a two-stage trigger on a budget, it's hard to beat the G2S.
Geissele g2s is quality
I own several Geissele triggers. I've used this one on both a AR 15 and AR 10 rifle. Smooth, reliable, and repeatable. A great 2 stage trigger. Unless you're traveling the country at competitions, this one will probably do whatever you need it to do. If you do need a competition level trigger, spend the extra $100 but stick with Geissele, you won't be disappointed.
Second best AR trigger.
This trigger group is excellent. I made the mistake of installing a Geissele SSA-E in my LR308 a while back. Since then, every AR trigger just doesn't seem to live up to my expectations. I purchased this trigger, hoping it would be as good as the SSA-E. It's not, but it's 90% there and $90 cheaper. I put this trigger in my varmint rig, and it's pretty much perfect for that application. The trigger pull weight is a bit more than the SSA-E, but it's just as predictable and crisp. I don't know by or use junk ammo in my guns, so I cannot substantiate the claims of inadequate hammer force. This trigger works on all factory and handloads I've tried and works very well. I cannot come up with a reason not to buy it, other than if you've got the cash, get the SSA-E.
