Bushnell, a business leader in optics, has released a brand new red dot optics in their Elite Tactical line. The CQTS 1x32mm red dot optic looks to aim at a higher end market of red dot optics, like EOTech and Aimpoint, with aggressive features and also a significantly smaller price tag. The CQTS has a very comparable appearance to the elderly Bushnell TRS-32. In fact, I think the two share the same basic home unit with a few small cosmetic changes for the CQTS.
Nevertheless, beyond which the CQTS is an optic that is new, with all new and improved technology, better multi-coated lenses for clarity, and also a 3 MOA dot in place of the TRS-32's 5 MOA dot. Bushnell provides various dot optics, such as 3 MOA dot alternatives, but the CQTS seems like a combination of the best features in one product. Aside from the bigger 3 MOA dot size, the CQTS includes eight brightness settings, a lighter weight of just 6 ounces, and an along unlimited without the need for parallax adjustment field of view of 68 legs at 100 yards.
Eye relief can be a pretty compact package with larger dials for simpler control. The CQTS comes at, but also come with rubber flip-up lens covers as well. The optics are shielded within the home, but also come with rubber flip-up lens covers as well. Point of impact adjustments of 0.5 inches per click supply a much greater possibility for accuracy than previous models. The 30mm tube is connected to Picatinny rail with a cantilever design mounting bracket which comes included. The mounting ring has retention screws, three on every side, for a very good grip despite the heavy shooting. Red dot scopes are usually purposed for instinctive or reflexive shooting at close range targets, although a sighted red dot may be true to beyond 200 yards.
For close range shots, many shooters prefer dots with better precision and less clutter at the lens, to allow for the greatest possible picture of the target. The Aimpoint has a very nice 2 MOA dot; nearly all EOTech sights have a fairly thick 65 MOA ring around their 1 MOA dot requirements. Even though the Aimpoint has a very nice 2 MOA point, the vast most EOTech sights have a rather thick 65 MOA ring around their 1 MOA point. And the two will cost $2-300 more than the CQTS.
