I use these for loop slings on my .22 and .243 and have no complaints. I have gone through loose and tight sling phases and haven't seen any meaningful signs of wear on my 5 year old set. The new set seems to be as adequate as the first.

These appear to be the biggest, sturdiest sling swivels I have yet seen. I needed one each for front swivels on two .22's with Picatinny rails. I think the rifles might pull apart before the swivel gave way. I will order more as needed.

I ended up putting these on my Remington 700. They are very lovely. Some complaints below about the color seem pointless. The color is fine. They are very nice heavy-duty sling swivels. The plastic knobs are a nice quality plastic/polymer. I am happy with them. I may order a second set for my Mossberg shotgun.

These Uncle Mike's swing swivels are heavy duty.They have busing on the spring-loaded part which will keep the unit from accidentally releasing. Also, their gray finish is very resistant to corrosion in adverse weather conditions.

The reviews above are largely true; the item looks clunky. However, the swivels have held up very well for me (5-6 years now?) even through phases of using excessive sling tension. I will be purchasing a second set without hesitation due to the strength and low cost.

Indeed heavy duty; so, I give them 5 stars for that. But, depending on the type of sling you use, they might be too thick. They work well with my standard leather sling, but they are too fat for the clip on my web sling.

Man, I love these things! They're big, ugly, and pretty much indestructible! See those rust color spots on the photo? Mine shipped just like that too! I don't care, though... It goes along well with the M1-Garand & tactical shotguns I mount them on. Note that these do not swivel at the "sling ring" like the medium-duty Uncle Mike's Locking Swivels do, so if having these sticking out at an angle is going to bother you (like on a folded bipod, for instance), you might want to go with the medium-duty solution instead. Anyone who can appreciate the weight of an M1-Garand and the smell of a GI cotton tarp at sunrise will love these.
