The Trijicon HD XR™ Night Sights were specifically designed with the ever evolving challenges of law enforcement agencies in mind. Building on the features of the current HD™ Night Sights, the Trijicon HD XR™ night sights are for the next level of advanced target identification and engagement at increased distances. A thinner front sight post allows shooters to have a larger field of view which further enhances the ability to identify targets, expedite engagements and see location of hits on target at longer distances. Pistol shooters that need the advantage of a more precise engagement in any light can count on the Trijicon HD XR™ Night Sights. Green tritium lamps are warranted for 12 years from date of manufacture.

I upgraded my standard m&p shield sights with Trijicon sights and saw a significant improvement in my sight picture. The new sights were extremely easy to see and I highly recommend them as a worthwhile investment.

I am confident that Trijicon will not disappoint, and I chose the HD XR sights for their orange front sight. They are incredibly bright, and I highly recommend them, particularly for use on a Smith & Wesson 9 shield.

I chose the XR trijicon shield sights over the standard HD Trijicon because they are a newer model with no chance of old stock. They are incredibly bright and have a slightly larger tritium vial on the front sight than the standard HD. Additionally, the more aggressive rear sight design makes it easier to draw from deep concealment, and the black finish is durable. I have been using my standard HD sights for 4 years as my everyday carry and the finish is still in great condition, I expect the same from the XRs.

The Trijicon HDXR night sight is an excellent option for low to no-light shooting but the tritium in the rear sight may not be as visible during dusk or low light conditions. While it is worth the investment for night shooting, the lack of contrast during daytime or dusk may be an issue. The front post is also narrower compared to the regular HD and similar to the width of a S&W Shield's front post.

Best handgun sights made. Big, bright, easy to see front sight, and the u-shaped rear sight notch is perfect for quick sighting. They weren't cheap, but the best rarely is.

Two 9mm Shields and my Gen4 G19 now wear these, so that is what I think of these sights. The Orange is bright and screams, LOOK AT ME! Tritium then assists in darkness and low light. Another feature is that the front sight paint can glow when charged with light (glows-in-the-dark). Speeds up sight acquisition when it matters! BTW, Shields also wear Viridian R5 Instant-on Green lasers.

These sights are excellent. The orange front keeps your eyes where they should be: on the front sight. The thinner front sight posts give you fast up close shooting while still allowing for accurate shooting at longer ranges. The subdued rear tritium tubes give you a shooting reference in the dark. Other than the price and the height, neither of which are enough of an issue to lower my rating, these are the perfect sights for self-defense and combat shooters. Also, the sights DO include a set screw, the illumination is perfectly even, and the sights are very well finished. I am currently running these on five different handguns and could not be happier.

I installed these and realized the two rear emitters are considerably brighter than the emitter on the front sight, maybe double the intensity. The configuration of the sight profiles complement one another and make for a nice sight picture. I do not recommend these sights due to the very obvious difference in light intensity between the front and rear sights of the units I received.

Amazing sight picture, super-fast target acquisition; I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for top-notch sights. Also, the factory rear sight set screw works with the Trijicon sight with no issues; I don't know why the other reviewer had to buy a different screw.
