Trijicon RCR - Ruggedized Closed Reflex

Trijicon RCR - Ruggedized Closed Reflex

Unveiling unmatched robustness and a formidable build, the Trijicon RCR is an outstanding closed-emitter optic that fearlessly meets the demanding criteria of military and law enforcement operations. Advancing from the prestigious Trijicon RMR, the RCR's design aims to parallel the legendary durability of the Trijicon ACOG, while also augmenting precision and accuracy for any firearm, in any condition.

The Trijicon RCR's capability to withstand direct impacts and endure the harshest of environments, along with its guarantee of enhanced accuracy and a generous field of view, make it an asset in any tactical setting. Remarkably, the RCR is as convenient as it is capable. It doesn't necessitate additional or new plates for mounting, as it integrates smoothly with the existing RMR bolt pattern, and directly mounts sans the need for a dovetail.

Whether it's a high-stakes mission or a shooting sport, the Trijicon RCR delivers a flawless performance under the toughest conditions, making it a preferred option in tactical optics. You can find the Trijicon RCR for sale, ready to meet and exceed your tactical needs.

Features and Benefits

  • BROADLY COMPATIBLE, NO EXTRA MOUNTING PLATES REQUIRED - The Trijicon RCR features a unique patented mounting method, allowing it to be installed utilizing the Trijicon RMR footprint.
  • EXCEPTIONALLY RESILIENT PATENTED CAPSTAN SCREW - Our RCR's patented mounting bolts ensure a sturdy and effortless mounting process, preventing over-tightening, cross-threading, and stripped screw heads.
  • MIRRORED DECK HEIGHT TO THE RMR - Enables usage with Iron Sights compatible with RMR.
  • SIMPLE WINDAGE AND ELEVATION ADJUSTMENTS - No special tools required, just 1 MOA per click for straightforward adjustments.
  • CONSTRUCTED TO ENDURE EXTREME CONDITIONS - Crafted from 7075-T6 aluminum and treated with hard coat anodizing, the RCR is engineered to withstand any environment.
  • BATTERY LOADING FROM THE TOP - Equipped with a CR2032 battery, offering six years of continuous operation at Setting 5.
  • UNPARALLELED RESILIENCE - Adopts the same unique patented housing shape as the RMR in a closed emitter variant, directing impact forces away from the lens, thus improving drop survival rate and one-handed slide manipulation while maintaining its elemental resistance.
  • UPGRADED ELECTRONICS AND USER-FRIENDLY BUTTONS - Enhanced, ruggedized battery contacts and electronics guarantee consistent performance in harsh conditions, complemented by clear, accessible adjustment buttons.
  • TRUE-COLOR, MULTI-COATED LENS - A broad-band light transmission ensuring minimum change in target area color for a clear and accurate view.

More About the Trijicon RCR

Trijicon has recently unveiled its latest addition, the RCR. RCR, standing for Ruggedized Closed Reflex, is Trijicon's solution to the need for an enclosed emitter. The enclosed emitter is essential because it mitigates the risk of environmental elements such as rain, snow, or dust blocking the dot by getting between the light emitter and the glass lens.

The construction of the RCR is robust, mirroring the toughness of a nail. It uses the familiar and preferred RMR footprint and comes with patented capstan screws that firmly attach the optic to the slide of your pistol. It features a user-friendly installation process, using an included Allen wrench to secure the capstan screws. Our tip for an easier installation would be to start by securing one of the screws in the optic cut, then attach that side of the optic, and carefully insert the capstan screw on the opposite side. This might require a little finesse, especially with the footprint, but it's definitely manageable.

The RCR is also noted for its top-mounted battery, a feature Trijicon has taken to heart. There is no need to dismount the RCR from the pistol slide to replace the battery. It runs on a common CR2032 battery, and according to Trijicon, it has a lifespan of 6 years at brightness setting number 5. The RCR provides ten brightness settings, three of which are compatible with night vision, adjusted manually on the optic's sides. As of now, it's only available with a single dot size of 3.25-MOA.

We had the opportunity to give the RCR a trial run at the product launch alongside Scott Jedlinski from the Modern Samurai Project. We put it through its paces with standard drills at distances of 10, 25, and even 50 yards, and subjected it to durability tests. These tests ranged from using the optic to rack the slide against a wooden bench, dropping the optic, dragging it in the dirt, and even a rough handling. As expected from a Trijicon product, the RCR withstood it all and performed flawlessly.
