M77 and M77 MKII WEIG-A-TINNY® Style Scope Mount-Our Newest Scope Mount in the Ruger Rifle line. This mount converts the Ruger scope ring attaching points to a WEIG-A-TINNY® Picatinny Weaver style mounting point.
To determine if your rifle is the short action you need to measure from the center of the rear scope ring slot on the top of the receiver to the center of the front scope ring slot. The short action is 4” long, larger readings are the long action.
- Accepts all Weaver and Picatinny style rings and accessories.
- Body made from 6061-T6 Aluminum the recoil lug is mild steel.
- Available in black or silver, matte anodized finish, weighs 3.1 ounces.
Dimension "A" is top of scope mount to top of barrel at the receiver attaching point
All Standard M77 Mounts Dimension "A" is .570"+-
All 20 MOA M77 Mounts Dimension "A" is .550+-
Add your ring height from where it contacts the top of the scope mount to the centerline of the ring
EXAMPLE: Using an M77X mount (.570") and our Medium Rings (.784") total distance is 1.354"
This height would allow for up to a 68mm Objective

Initially tried to obtain Ruger 30mm scope rings, but stocking was affected by Covid induced manufacturing delays. Instead, elected to purchase the Weigand pic-rail adapter for Ruger M77 short action. This allowed Picatinny/weaver scope mount commonality across all my firearms. The Weigand adapter comes with mounting hardware and is a well-made piece. The only manufacturer request is to mill a lengthwise groove along the adapter to allow the use of iron sites with scope dismounted. As is, one cannot get a good aim picture with iron sights and adapter. Another buyer recommendation is a QD scope mount for the pic adapter. Now the scope can quickly be attached, detached, and transferred to another rifle. Great combo.

I have always liked the Ruger M77, with the exception to the scope mount. This little modification made my M77 into a perfect rifle.
