This product is designed to add four rounds to an OEM 9MM SHIELD 8-round magazine, correct? Does it come with a magazine spacer to make it appear as one continuous piece at the base of the magazine? I just noticed this, and I have already ordered an extra 2-round magazine extension. The OEM 8-round magazine without an extension or pinky rest base still fits comfortably in the palm, but having a few extra rounds or additional magazines can be helpful (although I do not recommend using a 50-round drum for concealed carry). I hope to bring more business to your company, as I have always found S&W to be a reliable firearm.

No issues with feeding fo both calibers. Great product. I would recommend for those who want extra rds. 2 rds for M&p 9 and 3 rds for M&p 40. Just don’t include the spring retention that comes with the product for the 40 and you are all set. It will only fit for the original eight rds m&p 9 and 7 rds M&p 40 magazines.

This extension came well packaged with Illustrated instructions and even came with the Allen wrench required for assembly. After laying out my disassembled 8 round mag, this kit, and reading the instructions, it Took less than five minutes to install this on my factory eight rounder. I'm very satisfied to say it works! For the extra rounds, I'd say it's worth it, and the extra grip length gives you a better purchase when firing the weapon.
